Hi. I know Uniroyal rainsport 3 tyres used to be mentioned often. I used to have them until I changed wheel sizes. They seemed good. I suppose it depends on the sort of driving you will be doing. They are just a good all-rounder dry/wet tyre.

PS. I'm also a 1.6 pinto runner👍

If they are just for general road use I would suggest any mid range tyre would be fine (you can always pay more of course) probably more importantly is determining  correct tyre pressures.

Thanks Leslie! Seems like 14" tyres are harder to find than 13" or 15"!

The 3a is relatively light and I found I had to drive like a maniac to get Toyo CF1’s to get enough heat to grip.

i run 22psi all round and have 120Lb springs up front

Ah! Tyre pressure was my next question! Thanks!

Have to agree with Alan, 22 sounds a little too high, on my Haynes I am running 18.5 frt and 19.5 rear, although I haven't done that many miles yet, also still playing around with damper settings and still need to do a good run on a hot day. But looking at the other posts I feel you should be able to have a pretty good idea for a start pressure.

I think 22psi is a bit high, I’m happy to be corrected but I think you will find most of us are running 18-20 psi.

I agree with you 18-20 is a better range and don’t forget pressure  rises with heat. Something I have not done is to take pressures immediately  after a hard run

Can anyone tell the difference a couple of psi make? I once discovered my tin-top pressures had dropped to 20psi when they should have been 36 and that made a difference but I've regularly run with a few psi either way and i can never tell the difference.
