amend your profile to show where you are as there may be someone local to you who is willing to help. If you are in the north west there will be lots providing you keep the kettle on :p :p

What is actually the problem you're having Steve? don't just say "The wiring" we can't help with an "all encompassing" statement like that. lets do an individual area at a time.

If it's the control stalks, then the problem isn't caused with the loom, but with Uncle Henry keep changing his mind, as there are a number of different stalks, all wired up individually.

On the site somewhere is the wiring details for the instrument cluster...its right for 95% of the sierra intruments...

However, mine is different (typical) :p

I made my own wiring and I have the pin outs for the intruments if the main board is wrong in your case as well...

PS Jim's been drinking again! He called Olly Steve

Hi Steve,

This is where it gets interesting

I've got the Sierra Panel - Part No. is 87BB-10848-DA (on rear of cluster, just above the speedo).

The flexible printed circuit only has 12 connections to the harness plug

These are as follows

Pin #

1 - Blue / White = Main Beam

2 - Black / Yellow = +12v from IGN switch

3 - Brown / Green= Oil Pressure

4 - Black / White = Indicators

5 - Green = Tachometer

6 - Brown / White = Temp Gauge

7 - Brown / Black = Fuel Gauge

8 - Black / Green = Indicators

9 - Brown / Yellow = Brake Warning

10- Blue = Alternator Warning

11- Brown = Earth

12- Green / Slate = Illumination

1 to 12 (Right to Left) Viewed from rear of Panel

My wiring connections ( from the Sierra) do not agree with those given in the Haynes manual (# 0903) - the donor was a 1989 2.0 GL Hatchback
