First track day. Tow points help please...

Looking forward to my first track day in my 2b but scratching my head trying to work out the best places front and rear to attach towing web or bracket. I have a chrome nudge bar at the front which is welded in but still feels a bit flimsy. There other bolt heads that it could attached to but these seem set to far back to be of any use.

As for the rear I can’t see anywhere strong enough. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks Stuart

Morning, thanks for your reply. That’s probably the best solution for the rear as it’s the most secure fixing on the car probably. Think I will buy a couple of straps to hook round the roll cage bars? Can’t find anywhere if it needs towing from front other than securing straps to front suspension or anti roll bar underneath. Nose cone seems in the way?  Don’t plan to come off but just want to be prepared if I do...

Ive always used the front wishbone pivot for the front, and the spare wheel hoop at the rear.

All ive ever done is a knotted loop of seat belt secured to the car with a cable tie. Scrutineering at Brands has always been happy with that.

Hi Bob, Thanks that’s really useful. Never done a track day before so just want to make sure I don’t run into problems when I get there. Just on another note assume the 2b with 2lt pinto and a standard exhaust doesn’t run into decibel issues? Appreciate your help. Cheers.

Depends where you plan to run.

Most airfields are a bit easier, tracks that have been around for decades now have housing estates built near them, so limits are pretty strict. I assume Bedford Autodrome?

You can download an app to measure the noise reading.

& this should help with various tracks & noise limits
