Robin Hood 2B Bonnet.

I posted the other day about weather gear, and got lots of helpfull tips, so thanks for that. 

Todays question,  -  the bonnet on my Robin Hood, lifts from the front, and angles up to about 30 degrees, and a support rod dropping down onto the rocker cover holds it in place.

Looking at videos on You Tube, I see a lot of Robin Hoods with the bonnet assembly lifted completely free from the car. 

Is this just a model difference, or is it an upgrade ?

Hi,

I think the very last 2b's (possibly only the superspecs) had factory standard lift off bonnets. Most of us with bonnets like that though have modded them ourselves. There are numerous examples on here, and different ways of doing it. I went traditional and made a fixed scuttle and nose cone. I did a video years ago 

its not the best video in the world (2 people out there gave it a thumbs down! ha) but hopefully you might find some use to it.
