Hello everyone!! I have just purchased a robin hood kit that has sat in someone's garage for 10 years. So I will have lots of questions as the build goes along. The chassis is stainless steel so do I need to paint it??

Hi Neil, I too have a stainless chassis…no you don’t need to paint it - you can either have it polished or brushed to change up the finish but it won’t corrode

Take care, do not be too vigorous if you use a steel wire brush (say on a drill) to clean up any dull stainless steel, I found that some of the steel from the brush can get deposited in the microscopic scratches and eventually a brown haze of rust can appear that is problematic to shift.
