Hi all new to robin hood changing rear suspension from Sierra set up to coil overs do they fit where original shockers go or in the dish where the original spring went would appreciate your feed back

Usually in the dish with a bracket bolted through either side of the hole, put some washers under the bracket so you don't block the hole and water can get out.

Sorry to jump on this thread and re open it as I’ve seen it’s a few years old, do you remember the spec of the Coilovers you bought? I’m looking to do the same and would like to know what I need to purchase.

If you contact Dave @ Dampertech  (dampertech.co.uk)  he has records of a lot of Robin Hood set-ups and can tell you what you need.

I phoned Dampertech last week and spoke to Dave. He said he didn’t think the bracket the dampers connected to on the swinging arm would be strong enough as they were not designed for it. Im confused now reading this

I fitted Gaz coilovers to the back of my exmo around 20 years ago. They are connected to the rear of the swinging arm and have had no problems in over 50,000 miles. The shock mounting hole needed enlarging to I think 1/2inch to accept a larger rubber bushing.

What model Robin Hood have you got ?  What you fit and where will depend on which model you have.

It's a series 3. It is one of the monocoque types

What length did you fit and do you have any recommendations of spring rate?
