Well August was one of the best months for some time.   As usual we lost a few, but this time it was only 4 non-renewals (Technically it was 6, but 2 of them are long-term members who I assume have just forgotten to renew).   But we gained 9 new members.   Here they are (as usual it's Username (and first name if not obvious), Location and Area Sec).   Welcome to all of them:

Well, I really have to eat my words this month.  I thought that with the season finishing and winter approaching that we would see a reduction in new members and an increase in the number of owners not renewing.   

As it turned out I couldn’t have been more wrong.    Not only did we lose only 4 members but we gained an incredible 14 new members.   It is really good to see all this new blood coming into the Club.

We took a heavy hit in January, losing 14 members and gaining only 3.   However, we have to put this in persepective.  For historical reasons we have a large proportion of our members (almost 20%) whose renewals happen on the 1st January, they also tend to be the longest serving members who are now getting too old to get in and out of their cars (I am just about hanging in there 😀) or have sold them.   So we are still sitting with a very respectable 340+ members.

It’s probably seasonal, members having cars off the road doesn’t help. Cheers. 

Another slightly disappointing month, with 12 members failing to renew.  I was also very frustrated that having contacted all 12 to find out their reasons for leaving, only 1 person bothered to reply, to tell me he has sold the car.   I suppose I should be grateful, as that is one more reply than I usually get 😀

The problem with the lack of responses means we do not know why people are not renewing so we can't take steps to improve matters.   If any current members have any ideas to improve retention then please let us know.

Apart from the fact that Spring is now here so things should start to look up, the good news is we welcome 8 new mwmebers to the Club.
