Catalytic silencer

Can anyone let me know the required IVA specification for catalytic converters, and what the inspector will ask to see as proof if the cat is inside a silencer?  i am building a car with a hayabusa engine in the back and need a short silencer with the cat inside.

Does the cat have to have type approval and does it need to be euro 5 or 6, i had a chat with Westfield cars and they said they have a cat in silencer that would do the job but unfortunately its to long,  when asked if it has type approval they came back with it does not need to be, so any information would be much appreciated as i am stuck at the moment .

You don't need to prove it's fitted, if it's required for the test either it'll pass or fail when they do the emissions test.

The IVA manual gives the exact emissions requirements depending on the age of the engine and how you plan of registering the car.
