July 10, 20251 yr Actually looking at it I would have to drive through Kimbolton to get to there so I will just meet you at the show, looking at everything it looks like a mega event and the weather is perfect ! Would be a real shame to only have a few cars turn out, surely we have more members within driving distance that can make this one ???? If you have never been to an event please make this your first and come and say HI YA !
July 10, 20251 yr Author Just had a look myself and think I'm in the same boat as Jim - I'd have to go past Kimbolton to the meeting point. Not only that but I've got 120+ miles and a good couple of hours drive so it won't take much of a hold up to spoil my timekeeping - I'll see you there (I hope). Are you planning on taking anything club-wise Al ? I've got a folding table that I "acquired" and may be quite useful which I'll stick in boot.
July 11, 20251 yr If I can rearrange a couple of things I might be able to attend. If I'm successful, is there still a space on the Club stand available? Thanks, Trev.
July 11, 20251 yr Author According to my maths there should plenty of room on the stand for you and your car Trev. 😀 Hopefully see you there 👍
July 12, 20251 yr My youngest son (12) has decided to come with me tomorrow car is all packed just need a pork pie and a dash of petroleum good to go ! See you all tomorrow
July 13, 20251 yr A cracking day at the Show. A nice drive down, minimal queuing to get in (Normally a problem). And a great Club Stand near the castle looking over the rest of the cars, and, of course, perfect weather. And with 6 cars we managed to fill the stand, which is a first (although we actually had room at the back for another six cars if necessary). And we were right near an exit so we didn't have to queue to get out. This Show continues to be popular, a huge number of cars turned up, lots of food trucks, entertainment...., a really good family day out. Thanks to Steve, Andy, Wayne (& family), Jim (+1) & Trevor for their support.
July 14, 20251 yr With a Spitfire and Hurricane (or 2 Hurricane?) flypast to boot Edited July 14, 20251 yr by RedTrev
July 6Jul 6 I've just had confirmation that we have been allocated a Club stand at this years show on Sunday 19th July and it is our usual Castle Square 44 (see map below). When I posted this event I asked for people to notify me if they were attending, so far I have only 2 (Foz & AndyW). If that is all we get on the stand it will be rather embarrassing and will not look good if we want to have a stand in the future. So once again I find myself asking members to please support the Club and come along, particularly members who are within reasonable driving distance. As the Chairman said in an earlier post: "This is a brilliant show with loads of cars, music, side stalls, acts in the arena etc." and I couldn't agree more. Full details are at https://kimboltoncountryfayre.com/I have attached a copy of the information Booklet for those who are going.CheersAl Kimbolton Driver Information Pack 2026.pdf
