As a reminder, the National Kit Car Show takes place at the 3 Counties Showground at Malvern the weekend of 31st May/1st June.   This is the main annual event for the kit car community, so if you visit nothing else, this the one to attend. And the Club's Annual General Meeting will be held there at 15:00 on Saturday.

The Club have been allocated stands E2/3/4 as shown on the attached diagram.   See you there,

I should be there but I know from experience that if I say I'm definitely going to be there on Saturday the brown stuff will hit the wizzy thing and I won't make it 😜

So to avoid the risk of disasters I'm going to say ................. probably see you all on Saturday 😃

Oh, how much I would love to be there but unfortunately, my Eva is not ready yet so I will have to sit this one out....again! :(

There are multiple options, put kit on trailer, come without kit, or do as I am doing keep hoping a kit is available to buy before then & drive there in it.

Well done Jez. Thanks for making the effort.  It might improve though, this time yesterday there was just one car as well (The Chairman 😀).   But by 14:00 we managed a staggering 6 cars.

It’s very depressing for us old-timers when we recall the days of 100+ cars on the stand.

I was there Friday/Saturday minus a kit car as I currently don't have one, it's slowly getting better, to me there was more cars there on Saturday than last year, which had more cars than the year before, but it's a hard thing to do, the young just don't seem interested in building kits & the manufacturers are charging so much money.

Without trying to insult RH owners, Dutton, MEV & RH were always the lower end of the market, there is nobody in that space anymore, the MEV Exocet starting at £5500+vat & Dutton coming back at a whopping £9975+vat is beyond the budget builder, or at least it it to me. I bought my Dutton in 1979 for £650 a website I found says thats £3600 in todays money. In some ways it's very sad times,

That seems very cheap to me - I built my Zero kit in 2015 and it cost me £16k.

Like you say, kids don't do manual labour these days. While I was building my kit, my son ocassionally dragged himself away from his Xbox to watch me but he wasn't really interested. He loves his cars now but for £3k, you can buy a Golf GTi that is quicker than most kits and thats what he wants, performance (he currently has a 550bhp C63 AMG which he paid £18k for - a factory built GBS ultimate has less go and is £45k+ ).

Back in the heyday of kits, they were a cheap way to have a fast car, I guess? Nowadays, lots of competition 😞
