AGENDA FOR 2025 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE UK KIT CAR CLUB

·         Steve Foster is standing for the position of Chairman.

·         Kerry Allen is standing for the position of Club Secretary.

·         Anthony Godden is standing for the position of Treasurer.

·         Alan Richey is standing for Membership Secretary.

·         Steve Foster is standing for Magazine Editor.

·         So far we have no notification of anyone else wishing to stand for any of those positions

·         The post of Events Secretary continues to remain vacant and so far we have no nominations.

Just to confirm the AGM will be held on Saturday at 15:00 in the teme hall, which is located near the GTM owners club stand

The AGM was held at the National Kit Car Show.  The main points were:

1.   All the present members of the Committee were re-elected to their positions, while the Event Secretary post remains unfilled.

2.   Because of the lack of input from members and the increasing distribution costs it was decided to switch to just two magazines a year rather than the present four.

3.   The Club is in a solid financial position with income slightly exceeding expenditure.

4.    The membership remains relatively stable in the mid-300s with new members almost matching the leaving members.

5.    The main discussion point was the lack of interest from members to join in meetings and events.  It was decided the Club is providing sufficient opportunities but if members were not interested there was nothing that could be done.

Point 5 guys, you're doing a great job, you are not alone in this, it just seems to be the way it is these days, if the members want to have something different they should get off their arses & do it, but they won't.

I agree, from my time on the committee I know how difficult it can be to get members more active.

What I find had to believe is that members aren't coming forward to take FREE MONEY FROM CLUB FUNDS to put towards local events.

It will only takes a small amount of organising to set up a run out or meet up for half a dozen members and you could get your lunch or entry fee paid for. What are people waiting for?
