Well done Alan. We need to plan things like this well in advance don’t we.

Hi, all being well and my car mobile again I would be a day visitor and hopefully drum up some support from the NW. Still got a misfire to sort!!! (hopefully be able to spend some time on this soon)

It's still some way off, but I need to get an idea on numbers before I approach the organisers.   Unfortunately it is clashing with  the the Kimbolton Classic Car show which a number of us always attend, and the Limcolnshire Car Show (there are only a limited number of Bank Holidays in a year).   Having said that, you could always do this Show on the Saturday and then Kimbolton on the Sunday 😀

So who is likely to go ?

I would aim for Saturday at festival and Kimbolton Sunday

Looks like this has vanished - I was trying to check up on it but I can't find any details of it on the NAEC site, nor on the carshowco site. Looks like it's been cancelled ☹️

Yes, quote from ChatGPT (who rules my life these days 😄) but look at the last line !!

The inaugural Replica & Self-Build Festival was scheduled for July 18–19, 2026, at NAEC Stoneleigh, UK. However, official statements from organizers and community forums indicate that the 2026 event at Stoneleigh has been cancelled. [1, 2, 3]

If you were planning to attend or display a vehicle, here are the key details regarding the planned event and what to do next:

  • Location: NAEC Stoneleigh, Kenilworth, Warwickshire (CV8 2LH).

  • Scope: It was planned as the UK's largest custom built kit-car event, featuring over 70 exhibitors, track displays, and family entertainment.

  • Ticket & Camping Status: Advance tickets and camping pitches (starting at £35 for a weekend pass and £5 to display) were listed, but are no longer proceeding.

  • Next Steps: If you had pre-booked tickets or a camping pitch, refer to the Car Show Co Tickets page or contact the organizers at info@carshowco.com regarding refunds. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

For updates on future kit-car and custom build events taking place this year, check local enthusiast forums like the RHOCar Forum to see where builders are gathering instead.

Ooh 'eck, we're nearly famous ! No word as to why it's been cancelled though, I had a bit of a search on tinterweb but couldn't see any official reasons 🤔.

I read this on the UK Cobra Club forum which implies ticket sales was the problem..Screenshot_20260520-230157.png

It must be a difficult decision setting up an event not knowing how many people will attend. if the weather is good on the day the public will turn up. It’s always a gamble and events organisers don’t like taking the risk.

Call me cynical but I'm not convinced - do many people buy tickets that far in advance for these shows? I would suspect that the vast majority buy near the date or pay on the gate, it's not as if it's going to be sold out and you can't get in. If these companies are expecting large numbers of advance ticket sales before they go ahead I doubt there will be many shows taking place.

If you think you are cynical I thought the whole purpose was an attempt to take the limelight away from Malvern!

But you're right with the weather in the UK we never buy in advance (unless no other option) then decide on the day, or the day before if we're going.

So - just checking, the show is definitely cancelled? On carshowco it still gives you the opportunity to but tickets???
