National Kit Car Show - Malvern 30th-31st May 2026

Featured Replies

This is now just 3 weeks to go.    Since moving from Stoneleigh the attendance from the Club has collapsed.  Last year only 6 cars turned up, and we were all based in the North.    It's quite depressing when this is probably going to be the ONLY dedicated Kit Car Show of 2026 and nobody from the Southern half of the country bothered to support it last year.   And it is probably going to be the only show this year where participants are not charged to display our cars.

Last year the Newark/Lincoln show was cancelled because no trade members where prepared to fund it.   If we don't support it this year then this show will also likely be cancelled for the future.   So it's the classic 'use it or lose it'.

You can see from the site map that we have been allocated the same stand as last year (E2-E4).     So please let's make an effort this year, particularly the 'southern' members, to justify having a stand.  Get all the details from https://nationalkitcarshow.co.uk/.

I'll be there Al, it looks like they're really trying to put a good show on and, as you say, if we don't use it we'll lose it.  Not only is it free for car & driver but it is also one of only a few shows where you can come and go as you please.

I'm tempted to stay over as pre-booked camping is only £10 (or £15 on the gate), so I might see if I can get a pass out for the weekend.

Anybody else fancy stopping over?

Steve

That's a good point and worth emphasising for those who have not attended before.. When a Show runs over a weekend there is availability to camp. Up until recently there was always a good turnout but in recent times this has reduced to 1 or 2 members. Most tend to attend on the Saturday which is why Jez was very lonely last year.

Not sure about your club, but usually we go down Friday afternoon, stay over on both nights then make our way home on Sunday after lunch, this year will be different as due to other commitments I'll not be getting there until after lunch Saturday, but again I can't see me making it much past lunch Sunday & I know one of the other lads will be off first thing he has 5 hours travelling.

I remember the days when we had over 100 cars on the stand and a lot of people staying overnight. These days we struggle to get 10 ☹️

OK, I've got a pass out 😄

I'm planning to get there midday-ish Saturday and leave Sunday afternoon. See you there 👍

I'm surprised that these events are becoming few and far between.

I still have the kit car but has been out of service for a few years and still trying to finalise my divorce which has been very trying. Hopefully I'll be able to get it back on the road this year, but not in time for this event unfortunately.

Last time it had failed it's emissions test so that needs sorting out.

Yes - I'm still here !!!

Simon.

I will be coming on Sunday with my Robin Hood 2B . I will pay on the door for my passenger. Save me a place on stand

Hi Gary

Room on the stand will not be a problem, the majority of us attend on the Saturday, but I know of 2 members who are camping overnight so you won't be too lonely 😄

Now I'm not known for being too well organised and it might be a bit late to ask this question but ......................... is anyone going who's got a club flag ? (No, I haven't).

I'll be there both days & might put my van on the stand on Sunday then we can shelter from the rain with a brew 😄
