Diesel Quicker Than 2b

I have to admit it....I'm sold on diesels for everyday use.

I have a Citroen C5 2.2 HDI that's been breathed on by SUPERCHIPS.

Citroen claim 137bhp, the r/road showed 133 before,

then after, it had 168 BHP, and amazing amounts of torque.

Apparently in France, while someone else was driving it!, it clocked 140mph....Citroen always did make 'em slippery.

Loadsa fun in a very different way to the 2B.

By the way, if youre near Silverstone tomorrow I'm crewing with a team of 4 Morgans (more sliding pillars!!) in a 6 hour endurance race which includes just about every car you can imagine. Team 1, Garage 0 if you make it.

Bob.

I would think Gordon's 270 BHP figure to be a flywheel one unless he has had some very serious work done on it (Cossie is 205BHP @ Flywheel as standard I think).

Dan,

Don't know exact figures but before the last owner decided to go for a bit off roading it was chipped to around 270BHP. It's running about 1 bar boost which is enough but could go for more. Cossie's are really easy to raise the power output, you can get over 300 without touching any engine internals, just a chip, actuator and different injectors.

It's got more than enough for now though.

Gordon
