Havent had the car on a rolling road in its current state but what horse power would you think ive got? 0 to 60 under 7 seconds in 2nd with an XR4 Diff.

Is this a good or bad time or just normal?

Sounds reasonably norma to me for a car of that spec.... would say that you have 160bhp ish with a 2.1 if you have a large valve head & 40's or 45's... maybe a bit more or less....

Hi guys,

Sean and I took our Hood out for a blast a few weeks ago just before changing the engine from the 1.6 to 2.0litre. We hadn't really reved it to the max before then but seeings as we were taking the engine out that weekend we thought we'd have a bit of fun and do some 0-60s. B)

At first we managed 8.8seconds. (that was changing into third at about 55mph).

Then went all the way to 60 in 2nd gear which gave us 7.5 seconds. Not too shabby really. Have yet to drive the 2litre in anger ...

NB. This is going from the accuracy of the speedo and using a stopwatch for the timing...

Chris

Well, as far as we know, its was a standard 1.6 pinto.

The 2litre is now in, but not quite set up yet (it bangs and pops a fair bit  upon opening up the throttle).

Soon though ... :p

Chris

P.S. Of course I'll have a go in your car :D :p
