Hi,

 

No, you don't need to cover them for SVA..... anything UNDER the car is exempt from radiused edges....the same applies for the engine bay.

 

Be mindful though, on my test, he checked to make sure I had either a nylock on, or a spring washer if a normal nut was used. May pay you to check and be on the safe side. :rolleyes:

As others have said the underneath is exempt BUT all nuts and bolts throughout the car must have a locking device i.e. nylock, spring washer or two nuts locked together which is what I did with some of the m6 bolts underneath as I had run out of spring washers just before SVA
