I am in the process of building a 2b plus with a 2.0 litre pinto! :D

I am just about to complete the wiring and the fuel lines, but i am wondering if i fit a different carb at this stage! <_<

I have seen a carb of a 2.3 capri / granada that has the 2 gears on the side!

Is this carb the same as the 3.0 capri / granada? <_<

Hi, yes that sounds like a dgas carb, 2 quadrant gears, which open both chokes together, go for it if the price is right.

maybe stamped on side DGAS or DGMS A for auto choke, M for manual

and good luck with the build

Be a little wary, I have seen a Dgas with v small chokes it may have come from a 2.3. They normally have a number cast on the side of each ventury with the choke size, 27 is the standard for a 3L Check the number and if it is less than that you are better off with the Dgav.

I've got the DGAS, Both chokes open at the same time and both are 38s I think, slightly more responsive than the DGAV (36/32 I think) and is a popular choice for the pinto, getting less and less around now.

Buy it anyway if you don't want it someone on here or ebay will snap it up.

On the NW rhocar web site I think there is an article on jet sizes for this carb. They will obviously need changing from the 2.3 capri:

38 DGAS jet sizes.
