Hi.

I'm about to tear off the plastic covering from the stainless panels.

What is the right way to clean it without harming the smooth finish ?

I asked the wife, but I don't think Brillo pads are a good idea :o

Just car shampoo when it gets mucky, and to get it really clean use cheap window spray cleaner, the cheaper the better somwhow. Don't use Windowlene, it's crap. Then I'm told that you can polish it up with other stuff to put some "protection" on it, but I've never got that far, the first time I did try it, it streaked like mad, so never bothered again.

autoglym super resin polish (the red label)works as a protecting barrier, but you have to be patient otherwise it streaks.

I thought that there was some very thin protective coating on the stainless after the white plastic was removed? If so, maybe only water and a soft cloth/sponge to keep it clean?

I use cheap window cleaner - the clear stuff and she shines so bright - 'I have to wear shades'

Bryn. The dearer stuff may well do the job as well but clear spray works wonders and it isn't that much of a nightmare when you knock the bottle over cos its only a quid.!!
