1996 Robin Hood Exmo Kit

Please feel free to shed any light on my RH Exmo Kit.

The car was built (1996) and sold in England where the new purchaser personally imported to Australia (2001) I then purchased (2005).

 

Donor car 1984 Ford Sierra 5door hatch (Gia).

 

Any suggestions re:

 

Engine/gearbox compatability to Australian models?

 

Do people drill there own gearbox drain plug hole in the Sierra box?

 

Any literature re building etc on this model or any info at all on the model RH would be great, I e mailed RH and they said they dont number cars/kits??

 

Also has anyone had anything to do with export or importing parts from UK

Eingine & gearbox "should" be the same on Australian cars.

Don't drill the g/box! you don't change g/box oil, just keep it topped up to the level of the filler hole.

 

The Exmo was originally for Export, but I think that RHSC had problems with the paperwork or something, because he will not sell a kit to anyone outside the UK now.

 

Others may be able to help you further.

Aren't there at least two Hoodies in Oz at this time? (Longboarder and Joel) Then again I guess it is a pretty big place, perhaps you need to be a bit more specific with your location Aussieexmo, you saying your location is in Austrailia it is probably equivalent to us saying we are in Europe!

Perth to Sydney is further than London to Moscow! Tis a big place and I'm off back to the UK in two weeks but if by any chance you are around Perth I should be happy to drop in, kick tyres and drink your beer.
