It's a strap that you thread through the steering wheel or through an anchor point and each end then attaches to your wrists. If the car rolls over, your arms can't then move outside the car. Only applies to cars with no roof and they might not ask for it but I had to get one for Santa Pod.

Arm restraints are a formal requirement at the Pod for open top cars,

but Ive been racing my hood there for the past 3 years & never been asked to show or use them

i managed a 49's in one of the timed practice runs last weekend.

 

came second overall... proper westy track car got ftd 250 hp vaux on slicks was 1/2 sec off him... was a great day.. you doing any next yr?
