Front Brake Flexi's

Guest Great Scott!!

Hi all :)

Just want to pick a few peeps brains here,

I bought a couple of front flexi hoses from stafford today, they are about 3 inches longer than the ones of sierra,

I got them back and screwed them into calipers and it seems the wing bracket fouls its path....

Now the question is has anybody got any bright ideas or a neat fix to stop the flexi chaffing when turning?

Also these new pipes have a large rubber grommet halfway down them so i was thinking of manufacturing a bracket to house this,

oh and one last thing how far up or down the infill panel have you fixed the flexi??

many thanks in advance :)

I've got the fouling problem on the wing bracket. I've nto fixed it yet, but my plan is to put a plastic P-clip onto one of the bolts which holds the bracket tubes together, and put the brake hose through it. Hopefully it will pass SVA like that.

Does anyone know different?

Ant

I have just bought some rear flexi pipes for an Escort Mk5 and fitted them on the front of my subK. There's loads of pipe to play with and the braking seems to be working fine. About £7 each, brand new.
