  1. In a word, no. If you present it early for the first MOT and it passes, the second MOT will be due 12 months from that date. It's only at the second MOT that you can present it early and still maintain the actual due date

  2. Things slowly coming together for me, didn’t have much luck in December to feb with Daily car kept braking down so put me back doing jobs on this. Stupid qashqai, I had clutch issues, then broken suspension then binding brake calliper lol managed to sort out garage and build new work bench. Sort all stuff out that chuck in over winter months lol weather anit been great and little ones to help but cannot spend too long outside as getting cold. finally started on striker - been starting up weekly on drive and moving back n forwards over last few months. Finally got it in air to start cleaning the underneath of it and sort any little issues out. Jobs start very soon is replace rear slave cylinders and brake shoes etc. had slight leak on drivers side. So replace it all. paint front brake red and new flex hoses on. Then fresh fluid etc. be placing an order with burton power soon for those. I have ordered everything for body work just waiting for warmer weather to crack on with that at mates body shop. Get brakes painted red too. other items are slowly turning up that order.

  3. Next Wednesday 27th, 6pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL. Generally they're trying to kick us out just after 930pm so if you're coming, don't leave it too late. Also, if you want to eat, book beforehand as they don't normally let people just rock up and eat. Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. Everyone welcome. See you there.

  5. This will be held at Kimbolton Castle (PE28 0EA) on Sunday 14th July. This is a regular show and attracts a huge number of cars (They are estimating 1200+ this year). It is also a full day out with stalls, arena events, food and drink etc. The Club has been allocated a space for 15 cars, which is normally around the number we get. The organiser has told me we can apply for early bird tickets using the code KCFCCS24 at www.kimboltoncountryfayre.org/tickets although I'm not sure how we benefit from that as it seems this option is open to everyone. Location of our pitch will be issued nearer the day. See https://kimboltoncountryfayre.com/ for more details. Al (Temporary Events Secretary)

  8. Looks very good - my blacktop Zetec is like that at idle and I always thought the Pinto's were supposed to be lower? As an England fan, damn right - I was worried about the wooden spoon for us before the start. Beating Ireland was miraculous! Really good competition this year - so many unexpected results (except for Ireland, of course)...looking forward to the Autumn Internationals because I'd imagine we'll get hammered by the SH teams - but need to play those games to improve... I'd be interested to know what you guys thought of the 6N - some of the Welsh play, for example, was downright embarrasing last weekend

  10. What you have got depends on the builder. RH showed how to cut down and weld the sierra wiper system. But most prefered to fit the Lucas system as fitted to BMC / AustinRover cars from 1960s onwards.

  11. hello, here is some wiper arms and blades from https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/search?q=wiper that might work for you. You might need to get tape measure out for old one and so get right one.
