  1. Go have a word with your local welding supplier they usually have cheap second hand trade-in mig's/tig's for sale or they know someone that has. happy new year Ivan
  2. what colour will it be in 2017 might just about have mine finished by then
  3. I believe that nearly all mig's are DC and you can weld stainless/aluminium and steel you just need the right wire and gas, Are you sure that he's not selling a TIG? but then you would use DC to weld stainless and ac to weld aluminium with a TIG? I of course could be wrong I'm sure an expert will be along shortly. HTH Ivan
  4. Just a tip I once got from an old rc man when I complained about not getting my boat to tick over told me to just add about 1% cigarette lighter fluid (petrol) to the fuel worked a treat, you might have to play about with the mixture a bit though. HTH
  5. Market research Hi all just to give me an idea of numbers I've decided to do a little research so please help if you can. If you would be interested in a reversed ( I.E. clockwise running direction ) blacktop zetec water pump complete or an impeller please use the poll. the impeller will be about £20 and the water pump around £60, this is not a definite price! but a RHOCAR club discount will be applied. I will be posting this on every forum that I can so please only respond once!!! just worked out how to do a poll, and realised that no one could like my comment on the other post DOH!! many thanks and a happy new year to everyone. Ivan
  6. Market research Hi all just to give me an idea of numbers I've decided to do a little research so please help if you can. 7. have you got a uninsulated roof if so this is what they use in sea containers got a friend that rents self storage paints it on himself works a treat he says. HTH http://www.grafoproducts.co.uk/
  8. I believe the measurement from top of windscreen to top of rear panel should be 66" its in the videos one before last I think they're on YouTube. HTH
  9. can you post their contact details just for everyone's information. do they have a web site? cheers Ivan
  10. Yes as I understand it the zetec is becoming the new pinto and look how long they've been around!! I live close to the Mendip raceway (banger track) and nearly all of them run zetec's in their rods etc.
  11. no the impeller from the silvertop has the blades facing towards the front of the car and the blacktop faces the rear so the blades sweep in the same anticlockwise direction. I've searched far and wide and cant find any other way, unless someone else knows different. and I wont be milling them I'm having them injection moulded the impeller should work out at about £20 and pump complete around £55 the factory already makes the standard pump so that keeps the cost down cheers Ivan
  12. I'll try and make a rough sketch (and I mean rough) and post it up cheers Ivan
  13. I think your getting confused between reversed and anticlockwise, all blacktop pumps run anticlockwise I want mine to run clockwise so that I don't have an idler, the use of this goes beyond the 7style market into any where someone wants to use a zetec in a rear wheel drive format. I have heard that where people are racing with pintos at the moment they are changing the rules to zetec's as the pinto is getting scarce thanks Ivan
  14. these pumps are for the blacktop engine's. I'm using one of the new crate engines in my build and want to make the belt route simple if I can achieve that and help others then I'll be a happy man. the impeller that's already available is well over £80 if it comes off my impellers will workout at around £20 and the pump complete will be around £55 and their brand new!! autocad is one of the many cad drawing programs currently used please have a go its beyond me! thanks for your interest Ivan
  15. Hi all not sure if this is the right place to post this so please move if required. I'm at the moment trying to get some reversed pumps and impeller's manufactured which is fine, what I do need is someone who can draw me a 3D cad drawing of the water pump pulley with the 5PK belt ribs on it, anyone who can help me? cad's like trying to talk Martian to me!! I'm offering a free pulley and pump for the work! that is of course if the project comes to fruition. also I've made a alternator mounting for the exhaust side which I'll try and get drawn an post on here. cheers Ivan
  16. I was once told that if you sprinkle baking powder over superglue before it dries it creates a reaction and welds the plastic together haven't tried it myself yet though HTH
