  1. Sorry - can't make this one, first Wed's aren;t good for me - hope all that go have a good time, whether you get there by car or boat!!
  2. I didn't spend a fortune on mine - picked it up from eBay after having a chat with one of the guys at GBS. Its got several insets so it can be used with different size rivets & it's been invaluable (not just on the Zero either)
  3. Was working late last night so couldn't make it - was supposed to be away, but had to move it as work's just gone ballistic (not complaining though!)
  4. oops - been there, trying to avoid it again
  5. Glad you said that Blue, that's what I've done on mine
  6. a bit of drizzle never hurt anyone

Had a look at the manual & now I can't se it - looks like that's bunch of re-wiring I didn't need to do, D'Oh! Sorry for the alarm bells!!

Hope I'm wrong then - thought they were like the horn & hazards, i.e they had to work at any time - I'll have a look in the IVA manual when I get back home & hopefully prove myself wrong!

I'm guessing you're using something like the Venom lights - these are what I've put on mine? I can follow what you're doing ok, I add a second relay to control the bulb when the main beams are flashed to make sure that they will flash with the keys out of the ignition as needed for the IVA. With what you've done can you flash the main beam with the keys out?
  11. Looks nice - cleaver mum eh?
  12. Think you might need some higher temp paint than Hammerite, bit in principle sounds like a good idea. There's quite a few options if you search for high temperature paint on eBay ...... got me thinking now!

  17. That's what they told me to use & didn't say anything about extra brackets, just to use loads of it!

    Another New Toy

    Good choice - enjoy!
  19. That makes sense thanks - I'll look at getting a valve to fit to it & how I can vent it - is putting it into the rear wheel arch an option?
  20. Looks a good show, we're already booked to the Billing Land Rover show on the same weekend though. Hope all who go have a good time.
  21. Thanks all - I'll see what I can do. Might get a bit of time this afternoon as somehow I think the kids school fair might be called off - Noah's just floated past in his ark!! - got to love July eh?
  22. Ahh - is that ok as it'd be in the boot area?
  23. Hi all I could do with a bit of advice re my fuel tank. I got the tank with the Zero kit & it's got a fuel return inlet at the top of the tank. I'm going to be fitting R1 bike carbs so I don't believe I'll be using a fuel return from the carbs (unless someone tells me otherwise - they're not fitted yet). My question is: how do I blank the tank return inlet? I was thinking of attaching a short piece of fuel hose to the tank connector & then cutting down a stainless steel bolt so none of the threaded part was left & then putting that in the end of the pipe & securing with jubilee clips. Any ideas if that's ok for the IVA? Thanks
