Are these the Ebay ones that look absolutely infested with rust rather than 'surface rust' as described by the seller? I could do with a new bonnet - but looking at the pictures I'd run a mile especially as they are so far away from you. Is it just the rear panel you need? If so, they are really not hard to make from a section of nice clean rust free sheet and there are templates somewhere on here for the pattern shape you would need if you wanted to replicate the original.

Ok, these are going to the recycling centre tomorrow afternoon - last chance if anybody wants anything?
-
Hopefully moving house in a few weeks now so need to clear out the last few bits of stuff I'm never going to use. Free to anyone on here that wants. Prefer pick up from Rugby (CV21 1JY) - but might be able to post at cost. Cheers Tony 1) LHD Upside down/back to front/inside out silly Metro rack. Only fitted to move car around - never used on road 2) Sierra rear springs/top strut cups 3) Sierra shockers - painted a lovely tasteful red by previous attempter of build 4) Couple of old master cylinders - condition unknown. One with resevoir (not proper cap on though)

I've got one in the garage that you're welcome to (couldn't wait to get it off mine lol). Drop me a message with your address and I'll ping it off to you. Cheers Tony

Boxed up and ready to go dude - if you drop me your address I'll get it posted for you tomorrow lunchtime. Cheers Tony

It sounds like Magh has sorted you out then... If not I have 2 spare brake fluid reservoirs. One complete with the correct cap - the other has no cap. Either or both yours for the price of postage of course.
-
Think I have at least 1 spare one - will check after work tomorrow for you and let you know. Cheers Tony

Nice and shiny! Are these the bits you need for your rack? If so drop me a message with your address and I'll ping them off to you. Cheers Tony

Hi Sid - Really enjoying reading your build thread, great work so far! If you have the weird upside down LHD Metro steering rack thing - then mine came with the same thing fitted which included those alloy spacers. I'm positive I still have them so if you want them, drop me your postal address and I'll post them out to you. I just couldn't cope with the fact that Metro track rod ends are totally the wrong taper to fit into the modded sierra hubs that our sliding pillar cars came with. So I bought a recon Sierra rack (which is far too wide) and had the steering arms machined down and re-threaded and used Sierra track rod ends that fit the hubs properly. Cheers Tony

Hi Mark, I bought one of these Ramair filters:- http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f2c5cfda2 Haven't had the engine running yet so can't comment on its performance. Planning to box it in with a cold air feed into the box eventually. Cheers Tony

Immaculate work Rob! Looks fantastic

I will Rob - You have to make some sacrifices and compromises for your family though at the end of the day. The ratio is going the other way - we currently have a small house and a big garage space. Where we are hopefully heading is a much bigger house but a single 'built-in' type garage. I just hope it doesn't ultimately end up stopping the build and the car ending up being another 80% finished project on Ebay. Anywho - Arches sold on Ebay now so no longer available. Cheers Tony

No longer available - sold on Ebay.

Hopefully moving house soon but sadly losing garage space, so anything large that I'm not going to use has to go. When I bought the part started kit - it came with a brand new yellow rear tub. After research it looked like a Tiger Cat E1 rear tub? Anyway - it was far too narrow for the silly wide 2B so I cut the middle section out and planned to make a hybrid by bonding them 'into' a Haynes Roadster rear panel. Anyway - since then I've found that Zero arches bolt straight on to the Roadster panel and look good so I won't be using these now. It's a shame as the 'bulge' section covered up the horrible sticking out Sierra Subframe bits perfectly which the Zero arches don't. Pics below taken last year showing the arches 'clamped' on temporarily to the try and get an idea of position:- They might be of use to someone considering something similar maybe? Only looking for £30 for the pair so not much lost if they don't work for you. I think they would be too big to post economically really so collection from Rugby, Warwickshire would be ideal. We are 5 mins from Junction 1 of the M6 motorway. Cheers Tony

Hopefully moving house soon and will be losing quite a bit of garage space unfortunately. I bought these off "Knock-on" a little while ago. Was going to fit them in the car during build as our cat was scratching up my nice new fibreglass ones. Never got round to it and def won't have space for these in the new garage. They are very comfy to sit in but need recovering (obviously) as they are ugly as sin. £20 for the pair if you want them. I'm in Rugby Warwickshire (approx 5mins from Junction 1 of the M6). I'll stick them on Ebay too but if no takers in a week then the tip beckons! Cheers Tony

Excellent result - well done! I'd be happy with a short fail list like that when the time comes. Glad to hear you've got your diff sorted already too. -

Hi Ken – Do you mean the wheels in my pic (if you did I think autocorrect has changed ferrino to ferrying lol)? They are 15” x 8.25j XXR 527 wheels in chrome/black. Got them from these guys:- http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/XXR-4-X-108-PCD-15-INCH-WHEELS.html - Sorry for the hijack ‘theduck’. We are all keen to hear how you got on! -

Good luck for tomorrow - got everything crossed for you! Cheers Tony -
Like magh - I'm still mid build, but have mounted mine in what I believe is the other 'fairly usual' way on top of the tunnel tubes. Yes you have to reach back slightly to use the handbrake but it's very easily achievable even with the harnesses on :- Cheers Tony

Hi Dave - If it's any use to you, I went through this not too long ago so have attached a link to the thread. There are easier ways to do it and I went possibly a bit over the top - but there are lots of pics in the thread so hopefully it might be of some use? Cheers Tony http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=38040&hl=

Totally agree with the above comments - excellent work, it looks great! It scares me to death knowing there are loads of people driving around with their seats bolted down to a flimsy thin piece of steel held on to the chassis with a few rivets - spreader plates or not

No sympathy I'm afraid. A rich guy driving his pocket money toy well beyond his limits. He will just buy another one with his pocket change. I'm just extremely glad the report stated that the innocent car driver coming the other way (on the right side of the road) didn't suffer any injuries.

Hi Colin, I did mine like this:- http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=38040 Probably a bit of overkill but it works nicely. Cheers Tony
