  1. I hope that a combination of excellent food and liquid refreshment have not increased girth such that climbing in and out of kits has become 'difficult'! I am beginning research into a suitable (vastly improved upon) camera for recording the few Hoodie trips that I make. I currently use my dashcam, which isn't bad but I would like much better results. GoPro Hero 7 beckons me BUT there is no way I would be able to pay anything like that amount - and get away with it! So …. what more economically priced camera do any of you use and has anyone had a delightfully expensive replacement for Christmas and would like to sell off their current piece of kit at a wonderfully reduced 'wife acceptable' price? Someone may even be able to recommend new but at a cost that I could get my three 'kids' to purchase, as they would then also be able to record the trips they go on, when borrowing dad's hoodie. 'Hoodie New Year' one and all, may we experience the best dry and sunny 2019 weather possible.
  2. Added myself to the map - thanks for the info. as to how to do it. Like the new layout … now that I have had a play! No doubt some things will take getting used to, some things will annoy - but on the whole GOOD JOB, WELL DONE.
  3. The original 'skeleton' … just in case it helps.
  4. This is my Series III Robin Hood. Built in 1997. Monocoque. I can't access your photos for some reason but hope these help you.
  5. Just returned from 3 superb sunny weeks in France and uncovered hoodie in preparation for the Midlands meet tomorrow. About to start the kit but as I touched the throttle, the cable snapped!! Anyone know, from my photos, whether this is an original sierra cable - and if so, does it just push backwards out of the clip in order to remove the old cable? Battery also in need of a recharge after so long neglecting it - so no meet this month I'm afraid. :( … Oops, title should read Series III ...
  6. Back in the UK again ... will check diary and calendar and try to make it.
  7. Bloody amazing !!!!! A fabulous job.
  8. Gutted I missed this year. Am still pottering around France in ridiculous heat and sunshine BUT would have loved what sounds like a damp road trip. Glad you thoroughly enjoyed it once again.
  9. Rubbish … rubbish … rubbish ... look what I'm missing by being in France!!! I'm well pi**ed off - any chance of me popping back just for the meal … please?! Gutted that I'm missing this year's trip - rubbish planning this end! Hope you have another fabulous weekend, highlight of the calendar. Enjoy.
  10. Went last year … an excellent day out … not quite ready to drive yet, but not long now. Itching to get out - missing all this fabulous weather! Surgery healing fast … "come on!"
  11. Now we have light evenings, the meets should be great. Unfortunately, will be missing these and other events for a while as have just had my prostate removed and am walking around at a very slow pace as my body heals. Will have to get my 'adult kids' to take the car out to keep it mobile ... guess they should do the same with me!! To anyone else in the Prostate Cancer Club ... hi. Both my wife and I hope to have me driving soon ... different reasons ... but same ambition.
  12. Very sadly ... not this year. Will be in France. Extremely disappointed it is always such a SUPERB weekend.
  13. One of these years I will successfully fit the Eoyb into my diary! To date, I have never managed to attend a single one :cray: We have a weekend booked up in Newark where we are (for free) fed and entertained over the weekend, with the likes of: Strictly dancers, comedians or on this occasion Shawaddywaddy and The Three Degrees - tribute groups - but still excellent value (even if we had to pay!). It will happen ... IT WILL ...

    Rhocar

Thank you an interesting insight into Rhocar. I had never even thought about how it came about but now understand a little more. Nice explanation, without any political undertones.
  15. Guessing ... but needs checking. I assume you still 'own' the vehicle until DVLA have received appropriate paperwork informing them of new owner's details and new owner does likewise. Could you receive speeding points etc even though you have sold the car ... ?? Fined for being on the road without MOT ... ?? Whilst writing this - you have had more positive answers I see. Must type much quicker - or - not type at all!
  16. Dan - your name is on the box. If you would like it before Monday week, give me a shout and we can arrange something.
  17. The title just about says it all. This has been sitting around for far too long and I shall not be using it. Pacet 10", two way, 12v fan. Outside diameter of casing is approx. 11.5". Blade diameter 10". Can reverse direction for suck or blow. Depth approx. 2.75". I am pricing it at 20 squid (can't get the pound sign to work!). I live in Sutton Coldfield and should be at Stoneleigh on the Monday ... can't overnight it this year, so have to miss the best day (and night!).
  18. Interesting .... Does it remove chips from windscreens?
  19. I am led to believe that if a reversing light is fitted, it should work for MOT. But ... apparently applies for vehicles registered as from 1st Sept. 2009 - not earlier vehicles. Is this considered to be the case?
  20. I don't have the "titanium" finish, just the standard stainless steel. The vehicle is 21 years old, lives outside, drive it throughout the year and polish it, at best, once a year. When I polish it I use Autosol Brilliant Chrome Aluminium and Metal Polish ... works a treat.
  21. Not so far from me and sounds good. I had considered doing the London to Brighton run (same weekend) BUT ... an ‘old’ friend is celebrating his 70th that very weekend so I can’t attend either unfortunately. There are so many clashes in my 2018 diary - it’s really frustrating! I can’t even manage the Wales Road Trip this year! Hopefully things will improve.
  22. Bit too early for me ... sorry.
  23. Change of plan for my trip to GBS. My passenger has had to pull out at the last minute, so I can amend my timings and route for Saturday. If there is anyone in Birmingham, or on route to GBS that would like to take up the passenger seat - send me a message. I will travel 'topless' and have no door tops ... might help with decision making!! Let me know. Alan
