    Derby Area Meets

Chris ..... This coming Saturday, GBS have an open day up in Ollerton. Weather permitting, I'll drive up there from Birmingham to give the 'kit' a run out after all the grotty weather! It's just up the road from you, fancy a run out? Take a look at their website - coffee and cake to greet you!
  3. Unfortunately selling something through a system of 'having it collected' leads to all sorts of complications - and yes is most likely a scam. You could end up losing both your vehicle and PayPal reclaiming the money. Don't do it.
  4. Been a member on here for a couple of years, but never been to Stoneleigh before. Hopefully coming for the day on Saturday or Sunday. How do things work with meeting up with people from this forum etc, club stand? Etc If you are only able to make one of the two days, Saturday is a good one because it starts quite early ... and doesn’t really end! Sunday, many people who have travelled a distance, may have to start packing up early afternoon.
  5. Dan ... when I asked my MOT garage about fitting a set of these, they claimed that they were not road legal. Were they wrong then? Not that kit cars are renown for fuel efficiency ... but aren't these tyres 'very thirsty'?
  6. Don't you mean a 'missed screen' ... Sorry - poor humour.
  7. I love Cola. I use it to flush out the waste water tank in my motorhome. Wouldn’t drink it though!!!
  8. Thank you ... a few ideas there for me to check out. Many thanks guys.
  9. At my last MOT, the tester stated that there was a bit of wear when applying lock to the steering and suggested that there may well be wear in the steering rack making it 'notchy'. There is an advisory stating: Steering system slightly rough (2.2.D.1) My 'Hoodie' is a Robin Hood series III, built in 1997 from a 1987 Sierra saloon. As the car is now a magnificent age of 20 (steering, probably 30!) should I just replace the steering rack with new? I appear to be looking at a replacement cost of about £135 ... if I go with eBay replacement parts. What advice can you offer please?
  10. Missed the last few months and am unfortunately unable to make tonight either. :sorry:
  11. Afraid I'm in France this month!!
  12. Ooops ... bummer ... something's cropped up and I can't get out. Looks a fab sunny evening too. Sod it!
  13. Will the evening weather be as today?? If so ... expect the car park full!
  14. Bummer ... obviously be somewhere in France still! Anyone going who can grab me a piece of cake?
  15. I have been holding back with booking my place at the 'EOYB' until I knew the dates of my wife booking a few days away with two of her close French friends, this coming September. We take the motorhome abroad in September each year but might have returned to Blighty in time for the 'do'. Unfortunately, by the time the three girls have flown out of France together to a girly trip to Portugal, returned and calmed down! - there will not be time for us to complete our touring and return in time for the EOYB. So, once again, I will have to give my apologies and raise a glass to you alL from the southern reaches of our EU French neighbours. Have an excellent event. Alan R
  16. Apologies ... Martin Thompson and I were going to drive up in convoy (do two cars count as a convoy??) but we both now have to cry off. Martin has analysed his overheating issue but is awaiting a component in order to complete the fix. I have now had a 'grandchild' to oversee. Sorry, would like to have supported your new group again.
  17. Superb set of photos ... looking forward to the next 300!!! Many thanks.
