Cheers for the replies. I was trying to sort it without disconnecting and removing everything to get this thing in place. Gonna have to bit the bullet and remove the master cylinder, disconnect all the wiring and cables to pass through single holes. I wanted to box around them leavino slots but this doesn't seem to be acceptable. Just hate going backwards, I suppose I need to get used to that. Onwards...

Think if I box it all in it'll have to be removable to give access to master cylinder and adjusters. This means cables and pipes will need to be fed through slots leaving holes again.This one thing has stumped me for months and I'm getting fed up with it. D

Yes that's done behind the pedals, this is above the pedals where they fit to the top mountings, master cylinder etc. I briefly considered boxing over all of it but this would cover the master cylinder and pedal adjusters. D

Hi, Kicked myself up the chuff and back on the build after too long an absence. I understand there needs to be a bulkhead between the engine bay and the interior of the car. The issue I'm having is around the pedals, however I do it there will be a gap to allow pedal travel. I was wondering about putting draught excluder brushes over the holes around the pedals. Would this be sufficient to pass the IVA man? Would it be seen as interfering with the travel of the pedals? By the way it's a Tiger supercat not a RH in case you are trying to visualise the problem. Hi, have followed the standard make your own quickshift and it has worked well, no more bruised knuckles. It says to aryldite the underneath when you are happy with it. Do they mean the splines on the shaft or between the bolts on top of the remote to fill in the gap? Only issue is the push down gate to reverse has gone and it just goes straight in. Does it need a gate for IVA? Cheers D

I've an app called racing world on windows phone. Gives feeds from autosport mag, crash etc. Do an app search on whatever phone you have, should be loads of free ones. BBC site and sky F1 are also good. Got tickets for Silverstone, bring it on...

Rang torque tune who said forget both and go for a k&n universal box that you cut to shape. They said it makes virtually no difference to the map. Sounds like a knowledgable chap and will be booking in once the bits arrive. Cheers D

Hi, Decided to iva with the std sierra wheel. Mine has the centre cover missing. Fleabay have them but they have a push horn incorporated. My horn is on the indicator stalk. I need the centre for iva but don't want the horn version. Tempted to make something as the £15 asking price seems a bit steep for a plastic disk. Any thoughts? Cheers D

Hi, I have a 2L red top vaux engine with megajolt and R1 bike carbs drilled out to 1.8mm. It hasn't been set up yet so runs a little lumpy. I want to take it for set up,I'm midway between Boggs and the place near GBS. I am wanting to put some sort of filter on the carbs before it is set up so it doesn't affect the map. I've come across the pipercross set up that uses a dedicated plate for your carbs then puts a foam housing over that, costs about £70 They also do an air box matched to the carbs that you can duct away from the engine, about £200 This sounds a better option but has anyone used one? Don't want to spend that sort of money if it isn't any good. Cheers D
