Anyone recieved camping passes.????? Ours came sat so who is with us

Yes some strange things happen there. Sunday was lovly thank goodness. Need to get better organised for next year. We have secured camping and will get the flags ect. As soon as dates comfirmed will share again on here but really need some support as our little club looked lost.

The weather not to good today should be nicer tomorrow. We are here anyone who is coming the weekend you need to watch out for a kerb just make sure you go round on the grass.(you will see on site what I mean )

For anyone coming to this event I have received an email as below. Dear Classic Car Owner, (PJ & GP FYI) I hope you will forgive this very late in the day message. We look forward to seeing you attend Moira Canal Festival Classic Car concourse/ Heritage Vehicle/Steam display on Saturday, Sunday 21st & 22nd May 2016. Please see attached files for further information. If you have any additional questions please feel free to Email me – see below, send a SMS Text or leave me a Voicemail if I do not answer your call. I attach an information sheet regarding access to the site. There is an additional Registration Form for reference. However, if you are receiving this Email it confirms that your form/vehicle has been safely logged in for the festival. Apologies if this is the first such confirmation for some people. Classic Cars Concourse Access. Please access the site from the B road (B580) which runs between Moira and Donisthorpe, then on to Measham. It is so arrow-straight it begs a question as to whether the Romans built it ? There will be a sign saying BOATERS and/or HERITAGE VEHICLES, indicating the way in. Entrance is adjacent to derelict former factory buildings once occupied by Secura Labels. There will be someone in the vicinity to allow you to pass through the padlocked gates. There is space to allow you to pull off the road and wait, if necessary, including trailers, if any. Either I will see you arrive or someone can radio me to let you through and find a place to station your vehicle. Please call 07866 365 910 to contact me on site. Arrival Time. Please be on site on Saturday or Sunday morning by 09.00am – 08.30 would be better ! Phone if you have difficulties en route etc. Car Display Pass ? You will NOT need a pass. If you have a display card / board of your own detailing your exhibit, by all means display that. Personal Access. On entry you will be give WRIST BANDS for you and your passengers. The wrist bands allow you entrance to the site for both days of the festival. Car Positioning. I will aim to arrange display of vehicles to align with models and club affiliations. We will do our best there, but it may not always be possible to do this perfectly. Site Security. If you would like to arrive on site on Friday 20th, this would be possible, We will have overnight security patrolling from Friday evening through to Monday morning, so if you did wish to position your car on Friday that would be possible. Any Queries ? Please contact me via email and I will answer any queries you may have. Caravans & Camping. If you require a Caravan plot or space to camp, please let me know ( if you have not already done so on your form/ or already discussed). Supplies, groceries etc. There is a new Coop a sort walk down the tow path (accessed by crossing the (pedestrian) Swing Bridge near the Moira Furnace buildings. Cross the bridge to the tow path side and turn right. If y Continue to walk past the Coop by crossing the road adjacent to the Lock, you will reach Bath Yard Basin – canal terminus. Worth a look if you don’t already know it. Attendance. If you can only make one of the days that is fine. It t is urgent that you leave site in your vehicle between hours of 09.30 – 17.00 when the festival is open to the public, please contact a member of the committee for an escort off-site. We can do the 16th, 17th what the area like for towing as you know poor Dino would have to tow our twin caravan ???

yes need to advertise this one more hopefully we will take loads of pics and need to take some flags ect and next year get a proper stand as we are losing these weekend away and wonder how long before we lose stoneleigh

She purrs like a kitty and runs like a dream. Lovly car and having the power to move is fab although i did take it careful as no more servo !!! And im used to stopping. Poor dino hes having a op tomorrow so cant drive for a week after i have offered to take him for a spin when the sun comes back out

Missed the burgers but we also have a cosco card and there is one on the Coventry road which we pass. I can always collect some and bring next year if needed I can fit them in the kit :-)

Fab weekend again great company and the weather was not as bad as expected poor Dino having to spend some money but cant wait for sept.

We are going tomorrow to allow extra time for drinking !!! We also have to take kitcar back home on the Sunday as we have other commitments on the Monday and to be honest if it was hot and sunny I would have taxed the car earlier but as its little me who has to drive it I dont really like the rain. so didn't want to do any driving on the Sunday. Never mind will still be there :-)

No I think Dean is looking at keeping it off the road for a while to get the auto gear box out. I told him to take to Stoneleigh and the RHOCAR can have a demo on how to swap a gear box. I think it would be a great demonstration but fear we may to trailer it back home after

Looks like our kit wont be coming the weekend as refuse to pay 1 month tax for 1 day. !!1

I have heard back from them we have space for 4-5 cars on both days. You just need to be there by 9am I hoping to borrow the club flags I think I need to bug Andy ? will find out at Stoneleigh who has them I might even bring a bit of cake ;-) If you have not filled in a booking form can you email me as i dont know how to upload a document on here its just so they have some details my email is meriden_uk@yahoo.co.uk Thanks

Hi All If you are able to attend could you fill in this form and email back to them please so they have a number even if its just for one day. Ive att the link below We will be there both days we are camping but at the caravanning and camping site conkers as it has electric and my kids cant cope without it ( or me lol ) its just up the road and a nice site If you take your kit you and your family get free entry so its worth a day out even if raining as poor me has to drive the kit rain or not thanks http://www.moiracanalfestival.co.uk/classic-vehicles

Hi Do we have any ideas of numbers as they would like to know by the end of this month I can imagine most will just come for the day we will be camping I think at Conkers camp-site its a caravanning and camping site
