  2. If it was registered with a CAT it will need one for subsequent MOT's under the new rules, so make sure you pick it up if it "falls off"!
  3. The 6.5J might limit your choice. Are you sure they are Wolfrace not Array
  4. Used to be a good attendance with well over 20 plus on a good night, but over the years it has declined as interest waned. I don't have my car anymore and will disappear from the Club at the end of this year. Good luck for the future and hopefully you can rejuvenate the local interest.

  7. It used to be that after September membership was an extra £5 but it got the next year too.
  8. Its all to do with the footprint and compound. For a given weight of car exerting pressure on the ground, the wider the tyre the less pressure the tyre puts to the ground. As a result the tyre doesn't work hard enough to generate heat. Obviously a softer compound will help. Look at what the racing Catering vans use as a maximum tyre width! I went from 225/50/15 to 205?50/15 and could actually feel the tyre temp where as with the wider tyre after a 200mile spirited drive the tyres were no warmer than the air!
  9. I had 225s on the rear of the V8 but could never get any heat into them. Swapped back to 205s and then handling improved too

  12. I have an stainless exhaust manifold and system that will help with releasing the gee gees. Up and over the top ril so no cutting required.
  13. OK cheers I don't need engine pr wheels but as I start the refurb I may come across bits like switches and window motors. I will keep you updated. Just need to sell the exhaust and manifolds from the V8 2B to partly finance the new exhausts for the V8 Scimitar!

  17. Don't try it on Stainless. It will blunt the blade in seconds!
  18. The fuel Tank I have is a bespoke on that is bigger than the standard fuel tank at 50L. Provisionally sold at the moment, just need to see what he takes with him next week. It is a tight fit but I did fit it in an already completed car. I just had to destroy the back of my car to get it back out but only because of additional items I had added afterwards! Scimitar wise the plan is to get ir running right with all the electrics etc working before I drop the V8 in. Already upgraded headlights to much better halogens running through relays. Seat runners were knackered when I bought the car so now I have MX5 front seats in. That put my legs too close to the steering wheel so I bought a second had 14" Mountney, But now I have taken the old one off I have found that the threads on the top of the shaft are shagged and only years of use were actually holding the wheel in place! So I either need a new Scimitar shaft or I see if I can retro fit a spare Sierra shaft I have instead. How much does your Dad want for the top part of the shaft? My V8 is a paltry 275Bhp running through a Commercial LT77.
