If you send me a PM with your email address I can send you a PDF of the wiring diagram for 1987-1989 Rich

I've got an old 1.8 pinto block I'm about to scrap, you can have the number from that?
  3. Use high temperature spray adhesive & loads of stanley blades for cutting - this is from my experience of carpet lining vans
  4. I have no intention of using one myself (found them while searching for something else), but noticed the seller recons he's had lots of positive feedback for them. I could understand if they were laser cut stickers but printed ones like that....might as well just use a marker pen
  5. Has anyone got away with one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291526577080?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT to make it IVA 'compliant'?
  6. If anyone else has a spare nose cone badge I will quite happily purchase said item from them? Cheers Rich
  7. Breather from side of the block routed around the back of the rocker cover & from the filler cap both into a catch tank next to the radiator
  8. I went for 15's based on availability of tyres...oh & the fact that I got some focus alloys for £11 on evilbay

    Camshaft

Sounds similar to my Piper 320 cam (slightly more hairy) 322 degree 4000-8000 rpm (not driven it yet, lumpy as anything on tick over but revs so easy (2.1, big valve ported head, lightened & balanced, elecronic ignition, twin dellorto's etc......., but have gone with long trumpets to increase low end torque)

    Camshaft

Sounds like a piper rally one to me

CBS are doing a complete set for about £200....not sure how good they are but looking to go down that route myself.
  14. Hi Paul, As you know I'm in the process of building an S3 (which is getting there slowly, 2.1 race pinto in & running, brakes just need bleeding etc) & currently working on restoring/completing the front end (tie bars done) & I'm in the process of changing the front springs (got hold of some 130lb ones) & the problem came after finally removing the shocks (still on the first one after cutting the rusty bolts to get it out) as the spring nuts were rusted solid, but last night I finally managed to free them off (the actual shock itself looks pretty good), so shock no1 is back together & ready to go. Hopefully no2 will be no worse, but if it is then I may have to take them off your hands (or even just the nuts). How much do you want for them? Cheers Rich

    Front Shocks

As the title says I'm after a set of front shocks for my 3a (I have springs), anything considered as logs as they are usable (plan to upgrade later once on the road)? Anyone got any laying around in the back of their garage? Cheers Rich
  16. That gives me some inspiration to get my 3A finished (won't be this year though)
  17. For info Focus calipers are different (but a lot cheaper), however the discs are the same as the Sierra ones. I'm in the process of fitting some to the back of my series 3 (one of the helpful machinists at work is making me some adapter plates)
  18. Did think about a courier but it's an excuse to go away in the camper, bbq, few beers etc
  19. Looks like I've bought the one on ebay.....looks like a trip up to hull with an overnight stay in the camper
  20. I have seen that one but quite a way to travel :-(
  21. I assume by GBS you mean kit spares? I've looked on their website & they only seem to do a zero kit - not sure different that is to a series 3
  22. I'm sure it's probably been asked before but what size aluminium channel is needed for the windscreen surround & also the rubber seal & where is the best place to buy said items? Cheers Rich
  23. Evilbay.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FERRARI-RED-BRAKE-CALIPER-PAINT-METAL-STEEL-ENGINE-High-Temperature-125ml-Tin-/361222703434?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item541a8d094a
  24. If there is no baffle (Robin Hood didn't seem to fit them) then the fuel will be forced to one end going around a roundabout. Did think about splitting my tank open & welding in a baffle or the other option is to fit a foam insert.
  25. I have got swivel nuts, bulkhead fittings to go through the bodywork etc & my master cylinder has 4 outlets, so just 4 hoses straight from there
