  1. Kit Spares Product Code: SUS0137. Anyone have any experience with this part or setup? I have them on a Zero GT and looking for specs and/or hazards to avoid. I hate bushwhacking. Thanks in advance. Marlin

    Retired.

At least you can consider retiring early over there. Here with essentially no health care coverage available till 65 y.o. for individual purchase early retirement is just a pipe dream. OK, off my whining box. Perhaps I should plan to retire to the UK.
  3. Have any of you considered getting on the counsel and improving things? Not my way of doing things either, just a thought. Don't get me started about health care in America. We are even considering moving to the UK since my wife is still considered a citizen there. You've been forewarned. The pot growers all around here give nothing to the tax base since everything they do is in cash. Then they whine about being poor and use all the social services that are really needed of the (genuine) poor. Our taxes are limited to increasing 1% of purchased assessed property value per year for as long as you own the house. On resale the fee charge is reassessed. And you can be sure they increase it the full 1% each year, as with you without improvements. Death and taxes, the only for sure's!

    Leaking Battery

baking soda will help neutralize the acid too.
  5. We need to re-enter each month? 750 I may already be a wiener.
  6. Don't let anyone tell you it doesn't snow in California either. 18 inches expected by Saturday. And if you think the drivers would know to slow down you would be wrong again. We get snow here every year at 2800 feet but this year the wife will get to try out the snow shovel I bought her 2 years ago. Not to worry I bought a matching shovel for myself, what a team. Hoping for 2 feet of snow;
  7. I agree you do speak proper over there as opposed to our 'more gooder' english Perhaps I should change my spell checker to UK version
  8. This might be a fun way to try out colors or as you say colours. http://westfield-world.com/flash_changer.html Marlin
  9. Membership pack made it to the far west colonies. Thanks! Now if I could just finish the build.
  10. this is what is suggested in California. Make bump by using a pipe 1 size smaller than wing bracket pipe diameter. I have not done this yet due to waiting on a replacement wing support from GBS. Hope this helps
  11. Hi niduncan, You may find this link helpful? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzcyA6Z-8dk
  12. It is sort of like the PCV elimination argument here in California for post kit car smog exempt testing. The only required smog component for the SB100 exemption is a PCV valve being visible. They never even place the sniffer into the tail pipe to test CO2 or hydrocarbons. One side argues the PCV helps keep the valve train cleaner with the vapor draw back into the intake. Others argue to vent to the atmosphere reducing backpressure. I go with the first opinion, it's the least I can do to help air quality a bit. No MOT equivalent for the life of the car either. Only 500 exemptions per year are available. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  13. If you go to this link http://www.kitspares.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&search=IVA&product_id=675 there are 2 downloads with photos of how to use. Hope this helps. Marlin
  14. Not to mention the bonnet vent that you can just barely make out on one of GBS's blog posting, related to their testing. It shows a vent similar to what CAN-AM cars had right behind the radiator. Looks very interesting. Thanks to all who have replied to my question. Will continue with my brick building.
  15. Hi all, Looking for some help to clear up some aerodynamic issues in my mind. I have a GT Zero under construction. I have been told the diffuser makes a big improvement for handling and plan on installing one. My understanding is the smoother the flow of air into the diffuser the better it will work. Not sure if this is true? I have also heard that putting a belly pan under the car would help evacuate heat out of the engine compartment. I can place one from the nosecone back to the oil pan. To improve the evacuation of heat it was suggested that putting a bend downward at the tail of the belly pan would disrupt the air flow and extract more heat. I would think the belly pan would increase front end lift and with the down fold, to increase heat extraction, this would disrupt the flow to the diffuser. I know everything has trade-offs. Was looking for correction if my thinking processes are wrong. Any information welcome. Willing to read informative information if pointed in the right direction. Thanks, Marlin
  16. A wad of large unmarked money notes (quid) may go a long way?
  17. Any progress on this solution?
  18. Thread conclusion: From Haltech tech center. The duck and others you were correct. "The Volumetric Efficiency calculation does use engine capacity. You may change it in the main setup. It will make little difference."
  19. While looking for something else came across this article on drive shafts that is more information than you might want. Have a read. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PR-BV60/index1b.html
