    Massive Flat Spot

Hi, I had issues similar to yours after my car had been standing for 7 years. It was due to fuel, sender seized up, tank full of crap, fuel line degraded . Cleaned tank out , new sender, new fuel line and filter. Problem solved. Good luck

  8. Nipped up all bolts and still weeps????
  9. Hi all, Coolant leak exhaust side from where the head joins the block. It's only a very slight weep, engine runs and drives sweet as a nut. 100 miles max since full rebuild. Head skimmed, block straight, Victor Reinz Gasket, stretch bolts tightened to the correct spec and procedure. Any ideas please ??? Can I try nipping the head bolts up a little more? If so, to how many Newtons? The last stage with stretch bolts is to turn through 90 degrees which I did. The old type of bolts was to torque to 115nm would this be ok? Any help much appreciated. Thanks Andy

  18. Cheers guys. I've bought a new sender but the pick up is a little short! I'll have a look around to see what I can get. I've bought all new fuel hose to run from tank to carb but this stuff can't be permanently submerged in fuel! Cheers
  19. These have gone to Dave. Cheers
  20. Hi all, Looking for fuel hose/ pipe that can be submersed in petrol. Basically want to extend fuel pick up on sender by a few inches to reach bottom of tank. Thought of silver solder some copper pipe on to extend but thinking hose and stainless jubilee clip may be easier. Any suggestions? Cheers Andy
  21. Drop a match in it first to clear the vapours then you should be fine to drill it minus your eyebrows:)))
