Cool cheers for that bob saves me sending it back its going in on Thursday to get carb serviced and tuned up so might get them to put new distrubutor on and do timing

So will it matter that the one demon tweeks is sending me ain't got the vacuum on and what do I do about the vacuum hose off the carb do I cap it off some how

Why does the distrubutor need the vacuum advance on it connected to the carb and does it matter if the one I have ordered from demon tweeks ain't got it or I should say the one they have sent me ain't got it

You got any pictures of the carbs how much will you take for them I will have to get them re jetted and set up for a pinto

Thanks for all the replies guys still unsure which route to go webbers or bike if I do go webbers they will get set up properly by some one who knows them like most things if done correctly in first place and don't tinker there should be no problem I still got plenty of time to make my mind up which to get not gonna rush there are still other things I need to do to the car until then like sort out this annoying back fire

Cheers 2b it is hard to decide as I like the look of the webbers with the trumpets danst engineering have given me a price for all the individual parts I require for my engine for bike carbs and works out to about 700 will need a rolling Rd set up but then so will the webbers You mentioned about the original carb I got how do you get both to open at the same time

gonna have a look at the distrupter and see if it helps if i retard it slitghtly been reading on here again about rwin 40 webbers why is it so hard to decide on what to get seems there are pros and cons with both types of carbs bike and webbers dont want to rush out and bvuy bike carbs and not be happy with them moved the car over to the misses garage in leicester the weekend where it will living from now on so i can work on it

No it was under load just seams when it gets really hot I have noticed that I could touch the silencer before driving along to warm my hand up but now dam it's hot

Definitely going bike carbs route I mentioned in a another thread that I was getting back fire and popping from exhaust been out in it today all fine no back fire but soon as it got hot it started again and spluttering if fuel starvation then give it a few good revs and seems OK what can cause this

No you are correct cb750 my mistake I miss read carbs 2nd hand but go though inspection and cleaning and come with detailed check list of what had been done manifold is new sorry for any confusion

I would of thought 500 for the carbs and manifold was a fair price as these are brand new for the bike carbs as I would be spending 200 on a manifold on its own and these come as a complete kit the webbers are a bit pricey but suppose that's the price you pay gonna be doing it as a winter project so thought about getting them now ready

Just been looking on flea bay and found complete webber 45 kit 900 quid but the found bike carbs kit from danst for 500 quid what would be better not worried about price my main points being Look Sound Performance Fuel economy

Hi all I have decided after long thought to go for twin webber 45 complete kit includes the brand new carbs and manifold got fhe single 32/36 webber on at the min any thoughts or advice mechanic said about bike carbs but would not know where to start and what to get

i will give it a go tomorrow after work and let you know the outcome

i be moving my car over to leicester at the end of the month if i ever get it started lol

checked the earth leads all nice and tight and good earth totaly at a loss now everything works volt meter showing 12v is a little juddery and when i put my lights on volts drop right down could it be the alternator not charging the battery

cheers i will go and check that now and report back if they are ok

Why is it when you sort one problem out you encounter another one car won't start now after I sorted the nor stopping issue it will start from a jump start but if tho not enough from key starter just clicks like if the battery flat
