  1. I originally bought from there but they were alot smaller than I needed. I think I put a post up showing size difference
  2. Actually I think it was from these people. https://metalhardware.co.uk/lift-off-hinge-right-hand-jspb23r
  3. You need to Google "lift off" hinges. Can't remember where I got mine from for my wind deflectors but they're like these.
  4. Don't think it matters, mine is on negative side as well
  5. I just picked one of these up from Lidl (about £15) after good recommendations on another group. Haven't used it but for the price got to be worth a shot
  6. Looks very nice and well done Nick & Neil
  7. Not sure, my gearbox has one that looks the same but I don't have the connector to plug in to it ( unless it's tucked away) but I have put a meter onto the pins and I get a circuit when reverse is engaged so I would assume it will be ok
  8. Is this what yr after https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233365298908
  9. Yeah I think they are just rolled stainless with louvres in
  10. I think you will find the Super Spec is bigger so the bonnet probably wont fit
  11. I have a set from a Vauxhall Vectra but if your looking for something a little smaller look at MX5 seats as thats what I swapped mine for
  12. Mine is mounted on front frame rail.
  13. i got mine from coolex https://www.coolexperts.co.uk/shop/
  14. Yeah love the whine of a super charger but that engine bay looks cramped and not easy to work on but does sound good
  15. The Westfield does look nice and has a newer Zetec as opposed to the older pinto in the super charged Hood but the hood has more "oomph" I would say. Maybe the Hood belongs to someone on here or someone know who it belongs to. Westy link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114471360287 Hood link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233745936307
  16. Fingers crossed for November, might be able to finally meet up (once I get mine fixed that is )

    engine temp

Not sure there is such a thing a a "standard" RH rad as everyone tends to use what they have or can get hold of. A lot of people use either a VW polo or honda civic rad I think, mine has a polo rad on a rover engine and at 70mph it was around 80-85 degrees that is until head gasket went
  18. Oh yeah I remember you telling me about this at stoneleigh a couple of years back, talk about thrown in at the deep end
  19. why have you had the cylinder head off twice Andy if you dont mind me asking
  20. Thing is it wasn't really "thrashed" , only got up to about 70 and wasn't really driving it anymore vigorous than I normally do, revs were only around 4500 max. I've looked at doing it myself but lack of a garage is putting me off and I've been quoted around £400-£500 all in to sort it and they will also check the engine over for any other issues, it's a rover specialist garage and knows his onions about these engines. I've never seen so many rovers in one place!! and he's got a whole engine if I need one.
  21. Well that will teach me to race cars!!! Blown head gasket as now got tell tale signs of "mayo" on filler cap and blowing white smoke from exhaust
  22. Hi What is the normal pressure rating for a expansion tank cap (mine is currently 20psi). Reason for asking is took my Super Spec on a local track day and it was fine on the 80 mile drive down and managed 2 X 15 minute track sessions but on the 3rd session it decided to over heat and push all the coolant into a collection bottle I have running off the header tank. Filled it back up and it seemed ok on idle (got up to temp and a little after fan kicked in) but decided to call it a day as far as track was concerned, but about 6 or 7 miles of driving back temp shot up again (120 degrees) then dropped a little only for it to shoot back up so had to get the "ride of shame" home. I'm going through the cooling system bit by bit so looking for any ideas to try
  23. Cranks same speed as always, which if I admit seems a little laboured but it's always been like that (I think). I have a booster so will try it with that and see if it helps
  24. I think it does, surely if fuel pump relay wasn't working it wouldn't run at all. Will double check as I did have a breakdown last year caused by loose earth on relays but that wouldn't start at all or only run for a short time
