Hi Just got my new super spec home a couple of nights ago and today is the first time Ive had a proper poke around, Ive noticed a lot of white powder around the -ve battery terminal is this just because its been a bit damp or should i be looking a little deeper, see pic (if it works!!)

Hi What do people use to polish their stainless steel panels? Moreover if you have a super spec with the "titanium" finish

Its a Rover engine, and yeah I was being a little hopeful for sunny weather!! What size/sort of wipers do most people have, mine look as if they are of a kids pedal car

Well went down to Cornwall to pick up my super spec and I'm now DEAF!! 70 miles on dual carriageway and I think are defenders are the way forward Oh and it rained and the wipers are hopless, there only about 5 or 6 inches so I think better ones are needed. And its drafty cold but........ WHAT FUN!!!! Will put some pics up when its a but sunnier

Normally use kwik fit but previous owner said their branch didn't have a clue and said required work hadnt been done, owner showed them Bill for work and even got kwik fit to phone repair garage before they believed them work had been done. Ive been given a couple of kit car "friendly" garage names now

Sorry to "hijack" yr thread but when I took "my soon to be" super spec out the Speedo needle was all over the place (original style Speedo) would this be the cable then?

Ok so I'm off to see the car today (all being well) are there any things I should look out for apart from the noisy clutch as mentioned previously. I'm a little worried it only has a couple of months MOT but I suppose thats a bit of a bargaining chip, it had a couple of advisories on previous MOT Offside Rear wheel bearing has slight play (2.6.2) Nearside Rear Front suspension has slight play in a pin or bush of an upper wishbone inner bearing (2.5.B.1a) Could these be expensive if they haven't been done?

Hi all Looking to maybe get a Robin hood super spec and was wondering what is the average Insurance people pay. I know it a bit of a open question but just looking for a ball park figure. Ive just turned 50, live in a rural location, car will be on driveway and my only NCD is via company cars for last 30 years

Yeah I saw that one last night, ive seen a few others without an IVA/SVA and I supposed that was the reason they're a bit cheaper. Nice to see the brochure though.

Thanks alan, I have been looking at your blog and VERY interesting. If I do decide to go for it then one thing I want to change would be the dash, I dont like the look of the single display and much prefer the individual dials you see in ther cars of this ilk Good news that dvds and wiring is available. Keep you all updated. Maybe big reveal in a few days.
