My car seems to have developed a fear of starting if its been left for a few days Im sure it began doing this only a few months ago , the engine turns but doesn't fire in to life till 4th or 5th attempt. It used to be fine when I 1st got it and even when it spent months having dash rebuilt it fired up 1st time. Its a 2L rover T series engine and I have changed coil, plugs, leads, distributor cap and arm. Once running it doesn't miss a beat and I can stop and start it with no issues. I would have thought a fuel pump issue would be there all the time and be worse under acceleration, could the fuel be evaporating in the lines (injection so no carbs to worry about) but if so why now after 3 years of ownership. Its not a major concern atm but don't want it to develop into something worse.

Replaced mine with a aluminium rad from coolex, they do one with a intercooler, not cheap though (about £500)

Pair of Vectra seats from my RH Super Spec, very good condition no tears/rips or stains etc. Looking for around £60.

Hi My father has just got a newer car and it doesn't really go anywhere so has asked my opinion on what battery conditioner to get so I'm asking a wider audience for their views and experience of using them. He wants to leave it connected all the time I think, is there one that has a fly lead of sorts that he can disconnect easily when taking the car out . I've looked at the ctek mxs 5 but any others?

Hi Looking to fit some MX5 "tombstone" seats in to my RH and was wondering if anyone has done this and fitted some seat belt grommets so the harness can pass through the back of the seat I have seen it done on an MX5 but I'm struggling to find the grommets that aren't a stupid price. Any ideas as the ones I can find on fleabay come from USA as can't find them in UK.

Im thinking of changing mine as well, I have managed to borrow from a friend a few options but im yet to get around to trying for fit yet, they are Mazda RX8 , MX5, Smart Fortwo and a computer race style gaming chair!!!. I like the RX8 but ive a feeling they're to big (wide). The Smart seats look as they will fit and MX5 are popular in many kits, not sure about the gaming chair, its very comfortable and well supported it would be just how to fix runners to it Will be watching this thread for more ideas. I also wondered about the airbags in the side of the seats

Your right Al mine doesn't have a "t" piece in the neck it's just a 3 or 4 inch piece of tube welded to the aero filler cap, I have now got rid of the CV boots that were used as a hose and fitted a proper fuel hose which is much better for filling up. P.S you were right about it being a real PIA!!

You must have a different setup Al, mine has the wider pipe but doesn't attach to the filler neck it just disappears downwards in the boot and I think it emerges on N/S rear

Just measured my Superspec and its 42" from back side of rollbar to top of windscreen

OOOH hadn't thought of Elise seats, I want some comfort in the seats (Old Bones and all!!) but want something that grips you a bit better and likewise I dont want to be sat flat on the floor as you say

Hi What other seat options are people using, I have the standard RH ones (Vectra I've been told) but maybe looking to change for something thats a little more "snug" and maybe leather. I know i can but new seats/tillets from intatrim etc but was looking for something 2ndhand, been looking at RX8, MX5, Smart two four. Any other suggestions or if people have fitted any of these hows the fit in the cabin as the vectra ones only just fit with a very small amount of movement before they wont go any further

Do you have the Lucas setup Andy, if so any chance of a couple of pics. I think I may have to tight a bend as it leaves the motor which is causing to much resistance

Still having a little difficulty fitting the wiper motor and wheel boxes, do I have to use the Bundy tubing as I feel this is causing me issues.

You may have to make your 1/2 doors. This is my attempt
