I am in the process of making one now using an old tonneau cover i got of ebay and a steel plate behind the seats

Sorted it It turned out to be a bear wire inside the cockpit Was a scary moment when everytime I try something a fuse would blow Only took 3 fuse's thank good I ordered 6 I thing a run at the weekend for a good measure. Finger cross no more break downs

Thanks for help fuse is coming wed/Thurs so will be trying to start the car I will let you know my finding

I was thinking of a 60amp fuse but not sure of the wiring amps I didn't want to cause a fire Just bought so 50amp ones to see if it's starts and I am going to look at the alternator for voltage spikes Did you think it would be safe with a 60 amp fuse in instead of 50 amp what's your views?

If weather OK and I get back from work in time

Just been out for a blast when the car loss all power and came to a stop. The main strip fuse from the battery has blown and I don't know what size fuse to buy Only I have change the battery a few weeks ago

Got the car started today had to move the distributor abit futter round and I think the engine was very gas up. But started in the end just need to use timming light now what degree have you set yours. I know ford sierra is set at 8 degrees but what are people run at on these pinto engine

What did you do with the old wire from the old distributor?

Just trying to upgrade from the points distributor to an electronic distributor but having problems. I brought an accu sparks distribution for an 2.0l pinto engine out of a ford seirra. But will not send a spark to the sparks plugs. I though the distributor was faulty so they sent me just the electronic kit but having the same problem. I have wired the distributor like the handbook says. Red wire to the ballast resistor 12v and the black wire to the negative side of the ford coil What can the problem be? Do I need a new coil to take the electronic distributor ? Any help will be greatful
