    Thanks for that. I will see what it like when it arrives. I don’t have to sell it straight away but don’t want it to be hanging around taking space up. my brother is good with engine and mechanics and has a large industrial unit we can do the work in. would I need new engine mounts and would the propshafts fit?

    I have bought my 2b and it arrives on Tuesday. It has a 2.0 pinto it was rebuilt 2005 with lighten flywheel and has bike carbs. Do I take the brand new 2.0 Zetec Blactop out of the S7 and swap it with the 2.0 Pinto and then sell the S7?

    I have bought my 2b and it has a 2.0 Pinto in it, If I am going to swap engine with the 2.0 Zetec from the S7 am I going to need new engine mounts for both? Will the prop-shafts fit with the swap? Many thanks Tony

    The ECU was supplied by Scottish Kit Cars with the crate engine it is a Flashed ATP ECU. It dose have its own temp sensor for ecu. Put the sensor in the kettle and it’s reading exactly 100 degrees c Antifreeze in the car temp now 103 degrees c on tick over packed up. is that acceptable?

    It is a cheap gauge. Would the test be with boiling water? if I put the fan on it is very very hot on my legs. dose Adding antifreeze make any difference? Thanks for the info Tony

    On the 32mm hose adapter there is a screw in thermo sensor and this is wired to the gauge.

    Having just got the crate engine running and mot it seems to be running hot. it is running around the 118 degree area..... the fan is running and the correct rotation. i only have tap water in the system at the moment will antifreeze make any difference? any ideas? many thanks in advance Tony

    Is a series 3 the same size as a 2b especially the cockpit size. is there any advantages with the 2b over the Series 3?

    My spell checker auto corrects when I put Zetec in and changes it for Vetec my apologies for this. It is a crate Zetec 2.0 Blacktop. The gearbox on the S7 is type 9.

    How hard would it be to swap a pinto engine out of a b2 with a s7 vetec?

    It is totally cockpit room. If I could get good seats in it and be more comfortable I would keep it. I just feel that I am going to put money into the S7 and wish I bought a B2

    I missed out on Gaz's Hood.... timing was just not on my side as I need to sell my S7. I have seen a B2 for sale and its a 2002 is there any differences in the B2 in later years?

    Thanks for all the advice everyone has given it is all much appreciated. my S7 Zetec passes it mot today. i was going to sell it as soon as it was mot and buy a B2 or a Tiger Cat E1. Mainly to get a bit more cockpit room? Any advice on what I should do.........
