Best place to buy a starter motor?
Thank you for the pictures and video. it does look very similar but hard to say if it’s the exact same. The mounting points look different as mine only has two holes. I was lent a MGTF starter from a friend which we thought was identical but had 12 teeth instead of 10.

If you do have one in the workshop though, you're willing to sell, i'd happily make you an offer

Best place to buy a starter motor?
I suspect it's been the cause of intermittent starting failures since I bought the car as now it struggles to turn over at all, literally one turn a second. I've tried multiple batteries and checked all wiring looks good so I can only suspect the starter is worn out and draining all power when I attempt to start. Good find on the eurocarparts site. I couldn't find it on there as it kept asking me for my VRM and then not believing that it exists! How did you know it's the right one, as I can't see NAD10042 mentioned on there?

Best place to buy a starter motor?
Looking to buy a rover NAD10042 starter motor for the T16 Where is the best place to pick one up? Presume all will be used and refurbished these days. Is eBay safe? Alternatively if anyone has one they would like to sell, let me know.

Which fuel regulator?
Yes it does do that as I hear the pump prime. Possibly a red herring

Which fuel regulator?
I want to try replacing a fuel regulator as a theory for why I’m experiencing cold start issues. It definitely throws fuel out but I can’t be sure if it’s at the right pressure. For a Superspec which fuel regulator does it use? Mine appears so old that the part number is worn off completely.

Super spec fuel pump
Out of interest, did you ever get this fixed @Jon Green

Calling all Robin Hood Superspec owners.
Not sure if I saw the message but I’m still here owning the Superspec for now :-) How many are on your list now?

She Lives!
My gold Superspec has been SORNed for the best part of a year due to a common issue of a clutch cable snapping. As they don’t make those anymore it took a long time to fit th bits to get a much longer fiat one fitted but I’m happy to say she’s ALIVE, MOTed (not even a single advisory) and back on the road. I’m hoping to enjoy some sun it in for the next couple of months but sadly I will also be putting her up for sale as my family car is aging and I will need to move both on to get a new car for the growing family. I’ll make a for sale post when I can bring myself to do it! In the meantime I hope to see you at some upcoming events

MT75 Clutch Fork and Release Bearing
Hi. I know this is an old post but the same seems to have happened to me. Do you know if it’s fixable without removing the engine? @danielbrookes

Fail MOT today
Thanks @AndyW. I finally made time to have a look today. I have had a good look at all the cables from the steering column and many are listed as "main", "dipped", "indicators" but I see nothing that looks like a side light cable. In order for me to actually get to the connector directly attached to the column, I'm going to have to break the plastic/carbon cover over the steering wheel column as the way it was put together was in two parts and glued. I have been trying to avoid doing that but I may have no choice...

Fail MOT today
It’s on the column but not sure if original as I have a spare column set in a box that may have been the real original. Looks like a rover one though

Fail MOT today
There’s nothing straightforward about the electrics in this car… I tracked a blue/red labelled dipped which I tested had 12v on main beam and 0 at dipped and sure enough seems to control main beam. i tracked a blue/white labelled main which had 0v on main or dipped settings. I presume the labels are incorrect and the blue/white is meant to be dipped and is the failing one. Looks wired up correctly so maybe a stalk issue

Fail MOT today
Well she failed her MOT very quickly today. So quickly in fact that I didn’t get charged thankfully. Headlights come on but no sidelights and no rear lights. Fogs work, indicators work, main beam works, no side or rear.
