Sorry Steve missed your first message yeah I have the screen and the frame but didn’t see any rubbers etc so tomorrow I will dig it out and check out exactly what it is. As you know my garage is not as pristine as your but I will find it. The drive home was interesting to say the least with a police car passing me on the M1 putting his thumb up but shaking his head in disbelief too. At one stage the rain was torrential and like pins sticking in bits of face that weren’t covered. It all adds to the fun but I won’t be doing it again in a hurry. Mark is a long standing PA for Charlie and they are great mates. I suspect we could very shortly have a new member of the club in him since he was going home to clear his garage and look for a kit car on e.bay. He loves the RH, him and Charlie or Charlie and one of his other PAs are always out in it in the summer. Charlie says why don’t we sell him ours so we can have an AC like yours that he loved his ride in.

Thanks for getting back to me mate I’ve been searching all day Steve. I found and have ordered the kit for the washers which is good, but it seems that all the actual windscreen wiper motor kits on e.bay are for specific cars. I did find the correct kit on kitcarbits website but it is currently out of stock and apparently has been for some time. It being Sunday I couldn’t ring anyone. I will continue the search going forward

Hi guys Firstly we just wanted to say how good it was to meet everyone yesterday on the run out. It was such a shame that the weather was so bad but never mind. When we bought the 2B it actually came with the windscreen which is somewhere in the garage. Since I drove the car home in the pouring rain I think it’s time to fit it. My question is how big a job is it to fit the required wipers and washers in order for it to go through the MOT and does anyone know where I can buy them from please. I can find suppliers that have the actual screens and surrounds etc. The 2b was built using a Sierra 1.6 and so the switches etc are already in place so presumably if they used the same wiring loom then the wiring may be in place but not checked as yet (Still thawing out from the drive home LOL) Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hi Again Everyone. Today for the first time I persuaded her indoors to accompany me for a ride out in the car. Where we live there are a number of speed bumps In order for our local posh kids in their parent bought little GTIs and supermini’s to stick to the 20mph hour. Now not to put too fine a point on it both myself and she who must be obeyed are not the skeletal types in fact a few extra pounds in fact stones have been present for years. Problem is that car bottoms out on each speed bumps and I’m scared of ripping out the underside of the car. The crunch is sickening even when I try to crawl over the humps at an angle barely moving. Moving house apparently is not an option for the Mrs. Problem no 2 is sadly unlike you guys who have built these cars from scratch and are very hands on I am certainly not very mechanically minded. I obviously need to somehow raise the whole car a little to stop it getting wrecked on these car killing humps. initally I thought ok maybe bigger wheels and tires? Probably not so shock absorbers maybe the answer? Does anyone have any idea what I should get to fit the car although it will be a case of me being advised what to get and asking my local garage to fit them. I have taken pictures of the front but until I get get her on a ramp (the car not the Mrs) I can’t get pictures of the rear. PLEASE DONT SUGGEST SELLING THE RH AND BUYING A MONSTER TRUCK!!! ANY advice would be appreciated guys. I got away with suggesting that we may have to get an extension for the passenger harness by the skin of my teeth but suggesting us both losing 5 stone is a non starter I think 😂 😂 😂

Would love to come and meet some of you guys my RH has just gone into my mates body shop for some paintwork though (Gutted) it’s not back until Saturday, if I’d have seen this beforehand I would have postponed it!!
