  1. Others will know better than i , but some ECU's need the engine to be cranked at a certain RPM before the pump circuit is activated, my old Porsche was like that and i fitted an overide switch just to help starting from cold. Mike
  2. If you have a gauge check the fuel pressure is not too high , approx 2-2.5psi as too high a pressure will possible force fuel past the float valve and cause flooding. Mike
  3. Firstly i would check the float level is correct , float not split or sticking , float valve is free and sealing ok , lots of info Here I trust the fuel pump pressure is correct for running carbs? Mike

  9. I have just taken down my popup Gazebo after three years of use , it has suffered the ravages of weather quite well , but the wind was the biggest problem as a couple of the bars had to be repaired , but even so it did its job for that time . Mike

  11. Just bought this item 170361343082 Fuel Pressure Gauge Kit 15 psi (0-1 Barg) for £10 total, i put in a best offer of £8.50 and was accepted , i only wanted the 8mm fittings initialy but was having trouble finding them, so now i have a spare gauge . Mike
  12. Is the red fluid watery as i seem to remember holts did an antifreeze that turned red when contaminated with oil or exhasut gasses etc. I have also known of ATF being used in Manual gearboxes as some rebuilders recomend it, many moons ago we used it in our racing bike gearboxes. Mike

    I bought a motor bike alarm some time ago with remote start but never got around to fitting it as yet , but i do have a fuel isolation valve fitted plus a removable steering wheel which is never left on when parked. Mike

  19. I used M8 stainless button head setscrews and bonded with Sikaflex between the supports and the cycle wings for extra strength and piece of mind. Mike

  21. 80F 26C in the shade here with a light breeze too, just did a wee bit on the car and had to come in as i am melting and sticky tape has gone very unnecessary on me . Its a lot cooler inside only 77F Mike
