  10. Hi , When i did mine i used stainless button heads with nylock nuts on the inside of the tunnel . Mike
  11. Stainless as we all know can be a problem to work at times , all depends on grade and another big factor is its age as it does age harden , although it can be worked a little easier after it has been annealed , Nibblers can be used ofcause if it is not too thick or too hard . Try a sample piece first if possible . Mike
  12. Fitting bonnet vents certainly helps cool things down , as i did a while back , i used an air disc cutter and a air saw to cut the holes out , mind you that was on a mild steel bonnet , on stainless i would only use a thin disc cutter , Was it worth it in my case oh yes . Mike
  13. Took ages to read as my eyes kept watering but worth every wasted minute , oh what a star and a story teller too . Mike

  15. Hi , if you are running a pair of twin choke carbs then they are in need of the mixture setting up as you appear to have all the symptoms of out of tune carbs . An easy job to sort out yourself if you have got the gear . Mike

  22. Hi Guy , this is what that paint supplier said (You will need a Etch Primer first, then perhaps a 2k high build primer afterwards to add protection and smooth out any imperfections ) hope this answers your question Mike
  23. Send them a message asking them what they recommend for use with there paints on ally , as far as i can remember we used a chromate primer first , hope this helps , Mike
