  1. Just had confirmation we now have a reserved area for up to 16 cars! Hope to see some of you there. Peter
  2. I've asked to reserve us an area suitable for about 15 cars, when I get any more info I'll post on here. Peter
  3. Hi folks I know it's a bit early but Sporting Bears have sent me the following information regarding the annual classic car show. We usually have a good showing at this event so can you let me know who is interested at this stage so I can give them rough numbers? Thanks Peter Kimbolton Country Fayre and Classic Car Show on Sunday 16th July 2023. Planning has commenced in earnest and we’re getting ready to welcome back some of your favourite features as well as introducing some more new ones. It just wouldn’t be the same without you, our car clubs. You’re such a huge part of our show and we’d love to welcome you back this year. We are delighted to announce that you will no longer need to send out wristbands to your club members – this year will be introducing the ability for your club members to book online, in advance of the show. It our hope that this drastically speeds up your movement as you enter the show through the pay lanes. Each car club will be allocated an amount of space that fits in the number of cars you, the organiser, confirms you’d like to bring, and your members can simply book a ticket online, confirming the car club they are part of and show their ticket at the entrance to the show. Full details for how to book will be provided closer to the show date to all clubs that confirm they would like to attend the show. Of course, if you have some members who need to pay on the day, they can do so. If you would like to book a club stand in this year’s show all I need from you is: · Confirmation that your club wishes to attend · How many cars you wish to exhibit Unfortunately, for the first time in many years, we’re having to raise the price to enter the show. It will now be £15 per car or £10 per motorcycle. If you book online, there will also be a small booking fee.

I’ve seen the ads too, looks wonderful, but perhaps no one on here has tried it.
  5. Decent shocks will help but is it a ride height problem, which end is grounding.
  6. You’ve confused yourself by putting the carb the wrong way around, rotate it 180deg and it should make sense including the 2 mounting holes for the bracket.
  7. I'm afraid the expert on lightweights, GDC Graham Coles, passed away quite some time ago now so I think you may just have to search in the lightweight section for any help. I do know he reinforced most of the car, the original diff mount failed after a short time with about 150 BHP. He built 2 of these, if the owners of them are on here, perhaps they could supply some photos?
  8. There used to be a pinned notice on this site for improving the rear axle location on these models
  9. Before you start changing things you need to find out what the current wiring is. Sounds odd you have these lights on, any idea what they are supposed to be? Hopefully there will be someone nearby who can help.
  10. I think the early 2Bs had the monocoque rear wings.
  11. How do find the members map these days, I expect it’s easy but I can’t find it!
  12. There’s also a lot of good information on Dave Andrews old site if you have not seen it. http://www.dvandrews.co.uk/
  13. It was some time ago when I last removed mine but I split the engine from the gearbox, it seemed fairy easy that way, remove the rad etc. slide the engine forward (on a skateboard) then lift it out. Gearbox can then be then pulled into the engine bay and removed. Don’t forget the gearbox mountings.
  14. What model Robin Hood have you got?
  15. I’ve got some 15” momo wheels in Bedford if you wanted to try but they are Et38 so as you said they will need 20mm spacers to get them near the right position. I think ET 15 which Richard used is an unusual size.
  16. Peugeot wheels are also 108 pcd but the spigot size is bigger so you need a little reducer insert.
  17. I’ve posted the wristbands this morning to all that requested, hopefully they will be with you shortly. Unfortunately I will be away so can’t be there, I hope you all enjoy it!
  18. If it is registered as an Exmo it could be not really a ‘legal’ car, perhaps someone swapped the registration of an earlier model to save them getting the car tested correctly here after being built. Known here as a ringer.
  19. They like you to be in by 10 am if possible but apparently there is someone there from 7.30!
  20. Guess what, wristbands just arrived! If you can also send me your home addresses I’ll try to post them out asap.
  21. Not only that it looks more like a 2b with sliding pillar suspension not an Exmo.
  22. Sorry about all this I’ve still not got any wristbands but can all interested please send pm me their email so I can forward the info I have now received. We have an allocated space, in a different but quite close area to our usual spot, access instructions are included.
  23. Sorry to have been quiet on this but I’m still waiting for the wristbands, I’ll have to chase them again.
