    Hood/roof

Im fairly certain that the 3a and 2B are the same size.
  3. I see youve got plumbing for a heater. What sort have you got and where is it situated. Im looking to fit my exmo with one soon and Im looking for ideas.
  4. Hi. Are any of our members here also on the Westfield owners club forum. Im trying to get hold of one of their members whos selling some parts but I cant contact them as Im only a community member. I dont want to spent £30 membership for a £20 part. Dave

    Moog6 Update

Im liking the old style lights. Nice classic lines.
  6. It might be worth attending a local meet so you can talk to members local to you. It looks like a home modification but thats not to say its a bad thing. If its got rose joints theyre easy to replace. The suspension can be removed, cleaned and painted or powder coated, Dealers choice. There are build videos on YouTube which might help if you can find the relevant section. All the best with your project. No two RHs are the same.
  7. I always thought these stick on plates were self adhesive
  8. Bob. Ill take next refusal as I might convert the exmo. Dave
  9. Ill still be all road legal but carpets, head and rear subframe spruce for me.
  10. With All youve done to the engine plus boost its gotta be the 200 barrier.
  11. Been waiting a while for this instalment. Is 180 - 200 bhp the target?
  12. In that case try and find a left hand drive master cylinder and route the brake lines away from the exhaust.
  13. https://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/insulation-tempreflect-sleeving You could also wrap the exhaust.
  14. Theres several ways to go with this but some will involve remaking youre own brake copper lines. I think the easiest might be to insulate the brake lines using an insulated sleeve. These are available online from places such as CBS. It might be worth doing clutch cable too. If I can find the links from my phone Ill try and post later.

    Mx5 Engine And Box

There are a few pinto and gearboxes on eBay but they are around £600. Try a search for mx5 on here and see what you can find. If you have a complete car I'd be tempted to transfer over as much as possible including loom, ecu and switchgear to keep it as trouble free as possible and not a ford Mazda hybrid I think apart from engine and gearbox mount and possible diff mount fabrication it shouldn't be too difficult providing you are fairly competent or know people that are. Look for the zero Mazda based cars for your Inspiration. Find a good blog. Hope this helps Dave

    Mx5 Engine And Box

There are mx5 based kits out there so its been done before although on Zeros, MEVs, Westfields, roadrunners etc. Im not sure about the 2B though. The knowledge is out there on this forum and others no doubt. Id say that if youre looking to use the engine and box it might be worth looking at the diff etc too incase the rotational drive is different. Has your car already gone through the IVA or older SVA, or are you looking at a rolling chassis stage.

    New To Robin Hood

Ive been donated a v8 for my exmo so Id love to know what strengthening has been done
  18. I just accept that as a hand built car my exmo will have a few interesting qwerks such as a slightly slow fill at the pumps. Doesnt stop me from loving it.
  19. If you have camscan on your phone you can take a photo and send it as a pdf
  20. RH used to have 2 models. The sliding pillar and the 2B that had double wishbone suspension. They later renamed the sliding pillar as the 2B and the old 2B was renamed the 2B plus.
  21. Ive got a Hamilton cover and a Halfords cover which goes over the top. Both are fine on their own.
  22. Instead of fitting a new baffled tank. Would it be possible to retro fit the fuel suppression baffle foam to reduce fuel surge. You would get a slight loss in capacity but might be easier and cheaper.

    Buying An Exmo

As mentioned above in the earlier posts there are things to look out for, but thats the case in any used car. My exmo will never be in the same category as a westie or caterham but that is referenced in the price. Its roomy, fun and regardless of which make or model you choose people will always stop and want to chat. Ive had mine over 10 years and I wont sell it. Its too much part of me.
  24. Ive seen on google pictures how some people have used wood as a spacer or forming tool along the top of the wheel to bend the metal strip to the correct form.

    Hi Guys

Hi Sam. Welcome to RhoCar. There is a fairly active car club close to you. http://www.eastangliankitcars.co.uk. They have regular meets and are all over Norfolk and anglia. Loads of folk have converted from pinto to zetec on this forum so if you have any issues someone will have had the same problem and know how to solve it. Its well worth the £15 joining fee. Dave.
