  1. If you know someone who can drive a sewing machine it's pretty easy to make your own. This top is one of several I've made: https://www.rhocar.org/index.php?/forums/topic/48544-surrey-top-and-door-project One for a 2B or Zero would be simpler because the main part is flat so you can make it in a single piece rather than having a join half way down the door area. Using double sided tape to hold it together before sewing means you don't have to do lots of pinning and can concentrate on getting the sewing neat rather than holding pieces in place.

    newark show

Agreed, Stoneleigh feels too big for most shows. There'll always be large areas unfilled which gives the impression it's not that busy. I thought the turnout wasn't too bad given how late the organisers were announcing the date. Pi55 poor signage outside the show on the surrounding roads, the A1 and A46 see some traffic and some roadside signs might have helped encourage visitors.
  3. Thanks to Kerry and Sharon for organising a great weekend (although not so great if you were a wasp).
  4. That grass should soak up oil nicely.
  5. £350ono for everything. I don't really want to split the tonneau from the hood although someone has expressed an interest in just the tonneau.
  6. Next Wednesday (27th) , 6PM onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. See you there.
  7. As far as I can tell it's pretty complete apart from some small brackets to attach the hood hoops to the car. I've not got a hood on mine so don't know what they need to look like but someone on here will be able to give you the details.
  8. Like this one? https://www.rhocar.org/index.php?/forums/topic/50311-for-sale-2b-superspec-weather-gear-and-tonneau
  9. Still for sale. Thanks to Martin T who has given me a pair of new roof hoops so these are now included.
  10. Great car, well priced. Someone is going to get a bargain. For anyone who isn't aware, although the seller Nigel hasn't been so active on the forum recently, he still holds the record for the most content on here. That's a lot of knowledge and a lot of it has gone in to the car.
  11. Yes, that should be ok. Ideally I don't want to have to put anyone else off on the meantime.
  12. Unfortunately I'm away this weekend until Sunday evening. Next weekend I should be around.
  13. No, if they accept the change the V5 just shows the engine number and capacity.
  14. Time to get rid of some stuff. Brand new unfitted black weather gear, doors and tonneau cover for 2B / Superspec, won't fit a Zero, probably won't fit a 3A, S7 our Exmo either. The tonneau is zipped along the centre. Comes with press studs, door hinges and fitting instructions. The 2 metal roof hoops are now included (thanks Martin T). Looking for £350ono. Located in Tamworth. Needs to be collected really as quite bulky and heavy but will try and help work something out.
  15. This thread needs pictures.
  16. I'll try and come, it's the day after our regular meet so two nights on the trot might be a stretch but I'll give it a go.
  17. Of it's not already correctly registered to use in Belgium it's far too expensive. Similar UK registered cars would cost half what that one is. Not sure what registration in Belgium costs or how difficult it is but is it worth paying twice as much for?
  18. Ok, I've got a big job on tomorrow but I'll get there as early as I can.
  19. A big saw and a roll of gaffer tape?
  20. Next Wednesday (29th) , 6PM onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL Entrance to the pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 LP yards from the island. The pub have been turfing us out at 9PM because they're not bothered about a load of old farts who aren't eating so it makes for a short meet if you don't get there early. Therefore I'm saying 6PM onwards in the hope people will try and get there a bit earlier than usual. If you've going to attend, post up if you will try and get there at 6PM just so people know whether they'll end up waiting an hour for everyone else. If the earlier time works, we can continue it for other meets. See you there.

    Sad News

Very sad news. As others have said Ivan was a great supporter of club events, no matter how far away they were. Condolences to his family and friends. Hopefully the new owner of his car will keep putting big miles on it.
