  1. A week today, 30th April, 7pm onwards, Malt Shovel Pub, Coventry Road, Nr Stonebridge, Coventry, CV7 7HL https://maps.google....ingdom&t=m&z=15 Entrance to pub car park is off the A452 Chester Road heading North 50 yards from the island. Probably your last change to break down in the kit before Stoneleigh!
  2. That's great news, will you be at Stoneleigh?
  3. That's a bargain, the pressed steel mounting flange Lockheed cylinders are usually twice the price of the cast Girling one. I think I pad £75 for the one I bought 3 years ago.
  4. Stu, my hair needs cutting, when can you fit me in?
  5. It's nice to have a passenger, it makes a welcome break from the voices in my head.

  7. I fitted my screen so there was an inch gap all across the main part at the bottom (raising the screen up mean I was looking through it rather than over it). I filled the gap with 2 pieces of 3mm thick plastic sheet that joined in the middle and fitted into the channel section at the bottom of the screen frame - this meant each piece of plastick was shaped a bit like a hockey stick if that makes sense.
  8. Jack up each corner and see which wheel is/are binding to try and elinimate a few other possible causes.
  9. How are your brake light actuated, pressure switch or a switch directly on the pedal. If it's a pressure switch and the brake lights aren't on all the time, then the problem isn't residual pressure in the system.
  10. My earlier post with the photos had the wrong picture of Kerry and I can't seem to edit it. Here's the correct picture: Kerry:
  11. This is hopefully the route we did (if my memory's correct). Starting in Asbourne and finishing at Calver which was the most convenient place for us all to return home from. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Waterside+Retail+Park,+Waterside+Road,+Ashbourne+DE6+1DG&daddr=53.1144229,-1.8330973+to:Longnor+to:Bakewell+to:53.1898074,-1.6151027+to:Calver+to:Castleton+to:Edale+to:53.3727852,-1.7607835+to:Calver&hl=en&sll=53.282458,-1.728287&sspn=0.296809,0.791016&geocode=FX7dKAMdGGPl_ynHNclC6xh6SDHMb4u0z5uLzg%3BFTZ2KgMddwfk_yk9E9wuqTx6SDEbPVgGTvpI0A%3BFRl-KwMdwXrj_ynl9-ekUjp6SDG_ATdJHJMr3w%3BFef_KwMddWzm_ynBRpifdId5SDF20E1g8RFBRw%3BFa-cKwMdAlvn_ylNvFzzHoh5SDGTSjq2lsOZog%3BFRHRLAMdH_bm_ynx29atYYd5SDHhvFGViAl-GA%3BFQD3LQMdaOrk_ykZmYusBi16SDHtIEhls7XaHA%3BFbpRLgMdg0Hk_ykTa0f_ttJ7SDGCt6X5NG_r3A%3BFXFnLgMd8SHl_ympvr7Myyx6SDGRpRNhOSeEOA%3BFRHRLAMdH_bm_ynx29atYYd5SDHhvFGViAl-GA&oq=calver&mra=dpe&mrsp=8&sz=11&via=1,4,8&t=m&z=11
  12. As the others have already said, a great day out and despite the weather looking marginal at 11, it turned out to be a fine, dry day. Big thanks to Glen and Julie who's local area knowledge mean we just had to follow them rather than mess around with maps. Thanks also to Andi, Phil, Kerry, Gaz, Martin and Karen for coming along, it made the small effort on my part well worthwhile. Here's a few photos: Group photo in Monyash Stuck in some traffic (but not for too long thankfully) Kerry Glen and Julie use their Westfield to stop the crap getting on the Hoods!

    Tool Boxes

Finally sold, I'm staggered they too so long to go, they were an absolute bargain.
  14. For what it's worth, this is the forecast for tomorrow which looks ok: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2656981?day=1 On this basis, I'm going and I hope to see a few others there. If anyone wants my mobile number so they can contact me, drop me a pm.
  15. The weather forecast (such as it is), looks good for Sunday so at the moment I'm expecting to go ahead with this.
  16. WTF!!! You only got it back yesterday, this sounds too much of a coincidence, No alert from Daisy I suppose?
  17. Circular route round Kenilworth, nice mix of roads, 12 miles. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Kenilworth+CV8+1NE&daddr=Unknown+road+to:52.3252918,-1.6045202+to:cv8+1ne&hl=en&ll=52.343939,-1.614475&spn=0.071837,0.208569&sll=52.336231,-1.654837&sspn=0.008981,0.026071&geocode=FV_JHgMdl7bn_ynPm3rAoMpwSDF8xMvD59TRRg%3BFbSZHgMdr7Hm_w%3BFatrHgMdWITn_ym97Zu87cpwSDHGYvWQZyfhDg%3BFV_JHgMdl7bn_ynPm3rAoMpwSDF8xMvD59TRRg&oq=cv8+1ne&mra=dme&mrsp=1&sz=16&via=2&t=m&z=13
  18. You could be out with us in Sunday: http://www.rhocar.org/index.php?showtopic=39157

    Tool Boxes

Buy them now and pay later, I'm sure Mick won't mind?

    Run Out

Donkervoort - great car, utterly ridiculous name.

    2.0 Pinto Capri Axle

I take it the 3A isn't on leaf springs at the back so the spring perches need to be cut off anyway and different brackets welded on? If this is the case, wouldn't a Cortina axle be easier to source?

    Mirrors

3" sounds a bit short, can you post some pictures showing where the mirrors are fitted on the scuttle and people will probably be able to suggest a fix.
  23. What ignition system are you running - specifically what sort of dizzy and ignition ECU?
