  1. As Nigel says -- self amalgamating tape is for keeping stuff out not good at keeping stuff in. You probably only un-screwed a union to replace the valve so PTFE is your friend, just enough to start hiding the threads. IMO

about 10 raps of page or use a bit of boss white on fitting seat, olive and thread.
  2. Can you post a pic of where the leak is. If you need to get it soldered I would think £45 - £90 to get it done. Should only take someone about 30 mins from arriving to finish, quick end of day job .

  3. trace the feed wire back and test where you can for voltage I would suspect a problem around steering column from when you changed ignition switch, have you got a feed to the column switch?

  4. motor bikes dont have front plates.

Technically it should be mounted on the vertical surface nearest the front of the car. So get a plate and grind it out to the shape of a speed hump and stick it on front crossmember ( a damaged plate or missing plate will only get a report to mot station and pay for test and then a producer at local nick).

  5.

What exactly was shared? Names, Addresses, Email, Phone ? all of it?

Did I sign up for that as part of membership (honest question - if theres a reference to that in the club 'rules' implicit or explicit I would be interested.

all above plus windscreen size, quoted BHP, actual BHP , inside leg, height,

  6. Foxton locks is not far and worth a visit Market harborough is a lovely town to wander round and has a great wine shop (Duncan Murrys) as well as a real ale shop and also a micro pub. For those who want a trip out a bit further afield you have Rutland water, or head in to leicester for the national space center or the richard the third visitors center
