  7. I am selling my Comanche Petit 2 Berth Trailer Tent. The Comanche Petit has separate sleeping and living area, it includes a mattress in the sleeping area and curtains for the living area. It is very easy to erect and can easily be put up by one person. I've used this at various shows over the last two years and it has always kept me warm, dry and comfortable in some torrential rain. The trailer only weighs 185kg so can easily be towed by the smallest of cars, some have been towed by trikes. Here's a link showing ease of erection; My only reason for selling is that my wife loves the Hood so much she wants to travel farther field so I've bought a larger trailer tent. I'll be using the Comanche Petit at Stoneleigh so you're welcome to view it there. I'm looking for £400. Send me a PM an I'll give you my mobile number.
  8. Give me a call Andy. My chassis may be the same but I've got the space and the gear to get your engine out if you can arrange the welding. Could do it this weekend if you want.
  9. Sorry folks, I won't be there this month. Just taken delivery of new caravan so gone away for few days to check it out. Shame really because I've now got the new engine finished and fitted in the hood so I need to give it a shakedown drive. See you next month.

I do remember that you were very taken by the Cobra at Stafford!

    Yes!

Fantastic News Nick! I'm not surprised though, it's a superb build, well done.
  12. There's no chance for me. It's difficult to get to my garage never mind anywhere else! Let's try for next week or maybe see you all on Saturday at GBS.
  13. Hi All, I should be there. The Stag would be a sensible option! Graham
  14. Hi Nick, I'm in need of some engine mounts if they're still available. I live near Sheffield so could call. Would be good to see the zero too. Cheers Graham
  15. I too have bought a bucketful of electrickery so the engine should start this month! See you there! :-)
  16. Damn! Just gone to start car and battery is dead flat! So not likely to make it tonight.
  17. I tow a trailer tent wih my 2B with no problems. As I understand it you can tow an Unbraked trailer provided that the plated weight of the trailer does not exceed 750kg and is less than half of the kerbside weight of the car. If the trailer is braked then you may tow a trailer outside these limits although most advice is to stay under 80% of the car's kerbside weight. My 2B weighs 760kg so my maximum unbraked trailer weight is 380kg which is exactly the maximum laden weight of my trailer tent. HTH Graham
  18. I should be there OK! Have booked time off work
  19. Looks like I'll not be able to get there this month. If you are making plans for Stafford then count me in, I've booked Friday 17th Sedp off work so I can travel down. Let me know the plans. Cheers Graham
  20. Cheeky young b***ger. I'll stop your pocket money if you're not careful!!
  21. I should be there too. Not had the car out for two months!!!!!
  22. I want to swap my 3.92 diff for a 3.62 to give lower revs when travelling long distances. I have sourced a 3.62 diff at a good price and tried to change it this weekend, but when I got my old diff out I found that my replacement diff had smaller diameter push in driveshaft splines. Does anyone know if I could swap the crownwheel and pinion parts of one diff with the other? Has anyone got instructions for dismantling the diff? Should I even attempt it?
  23. I should be there...forecast looks good!
  24. I would have thought that movement in the drive shaft / diff joint would prevent a good oil seal!
  25. When you say "play" do you mean side to side or are you meaning backlash in the diff i.e. rotational "play"? If it's side to side then it sounds wrong!
