  1. Hi Rich Yes you're correct, make sure the bolt's for the seatbelt's are high tensile. Metric are marked 8.8 or above. I found on my test the top bolt's for the harness straps (RHE Supplied) are not marked and i failed SVA because of. Change them for HT from a bolt stockist, but they are a specific Dia (7/16 or 11mm shank) so will be marked as "R" or at least mine were, local supplier was very helpful but take old bolt as example. If you're using RH harness all other supplied bolts are correct just the top 4 behind the shoulder's which i had prob's for SVA. Hope this help's Mitch Blackburn

No he's not grumpy just a MOB (misrable old *bleep*) it say so on the back of his hood. sorry but the Grandads already gone (too much petrol/insurance and things that wanted replacing) and not enough time to fix now the Hoods on the road. I will be at most of the shows including Exeter again look forward to seeing you all there. Mitch Blackburn
  3. Hi Jon I had my SVA test last week Chadderton North Manchester, and even though i failed(now passed retest) John (passed Ian Hales from Chorley the week before) who did the test was fair and very helpful. He commented on the build quality and gave me time to put most things right.Even going as far as to ajust my carb as i developed a missfire and redoing the sound test because of it, I eventually failed on the speedo reading which i couldnt do then but was made right for the retest plus a couple more bits, But it was'nt as daunting as i expected. He did say most fail first time but i cannot say he was'nt fair in his decision's Mitch Blackburn

    Stoneleigh Show

Nutters? Why for camping out in the middle of May? It's not the cold that keeps you awake it's the strange noise's out side that you need to worry about.
  9. Hi Rob Just a few tweeks ,sharp edge i missed on windscreen pillers, reposition fog light, washerjet needs changing for a round plastic one, biggest one is speedo was reading incorrectly i will have to move the needle higher to compensate, other than that straight forward tweeks, not bad to say it was still having the wipers fitted at 9pm Mon night. The time flys when you get the date, now needs MOT (was supposed to get done on Monday but wasnt ready). Passed on noise (just) and all other major parts no probs. Retest next week, then wales trip. See you there? Mitch (very nearly finshed now) Blackburn PS bring the Guitar
  10. Hi All any one going for there test make sure the seat belt bolts (top one behind the shoulders) are high tensile. I went for my test today and it was one of the things he picked up. Easy replaced but anoying when they are supplied with kit and have to fit inside a tube had to order some from my local supplier as he didnt stock the fine metric thread. Mitch
  11. Hi Ant It shouldnt be a problem with the new type indicators> the ones i was asking about are mc type which came from ebay and are e-marked. thanks for the tips i will extend them as suggested then remove extention tube after test. Mitch
  12. Hi all How many have been for the SVA with m/c indicators on, and how many have failed/passed with the incorrect distance from the edge of the car? Fitted some long armed m/c indicators and they stick out just as far as the drain pipes supplied with the kit, but not as far as they should be. any advice as SVA is looming closer. Mitch

    Steering Assembly

Hi Alan Are you sure that the knuckle is'nt touching the end of the spline on the rack. When i first assembled mine this was the case, just dont push it on as far. Also it may catch the down pipe from the exhaust so you may be modding it later when the engine's in. Mitch
